Andros Town (Chora) is located on the east coast of Andros (the harbor, Gavrio is on the west coast). Andros Town is very charming, with a combination of Venetian, Byzantine, Ottoman and Cycladic architecture, meandering alleys, shops and museums. It is built on a peninsula, sandwiched between two beaches, Neiborio and Paraporti. The gateway to the old city has been preserved. Andros Town has two unique central squares: one paved with stone and full of restaurants and cafes, and one paved in marble with a statue of the Unknown Sailor in the center. Chora has a great tourist infrastructure and is a great place to stay for easy access to all amenities. The Museum of Modern Art in Chora hosts an exhibition every summer.

Vlychada Beach is located on the northwestern coast of Andros, about 10 km from the village Gavrio. Vlychada is one of the most beautiful beaches of the island. It is a sandy beach with amazingly clear water and is known for its natural beauty and stunning surroundings. It is a remote beach, with access only by a dirt road. Vlychada is not very touristy, with no organization of umbrellas and chairs on the beach. It is a great spot for relaxation and privacy.
Near Vlychada, is Pyrgos beach, another quiet, relaxing beach. Pyrgos means tower -- and the beach's name is from the Venetian tower of Makrotantalos that lies in ruins on a rock above the beach.

My dear friends.Just because we are in a very cold winter in many countries around the world these days .Especially in Greece where we are not used to it and with so low temperatures of -20,-28 degrees celcious ,with so much snow, even in Athens,I decided to bring the Summertime with a video of mine filmed on a ship arriving in Andros island for Summer vacations with my family.We had such a great time. I also want to invite you all to visit my country's beautiful places.There are plenty of them.I hope you'll all enjoy this film.There is no plane in it but only blue clear Aegean Sea.Greetings to all of you.
