Guanaqueros is a Chilean town in the commune of Coquimbo, Elqui Province, Coquimbo Region. It is located 12 kilometers from Tongoy. It is a fishermen's cove, which spreads along the eastern rim of the Cerro Guanaqueros , and with its houses built facing to the north in the direction of the Pacific Ocean. Guanaqueros is situated next to an extensive ocean harbor of the same name, where dozens of recreation centers are located, along with inns, hostels and other accommodations for the tourist industry. The town lies next to the Carretera Panamericana and, according to the 2002 census, it has a population of 1,395 inhabitants. The town's first inhabitants...

Cruz del Tercer Milenio is an 83 metre tall, 40 metre wide, concrete cross located at the top of El Vigía hill in Coquimbo, Chile. Construction began in 1999 and it was completed in 2001. It sits 197 metres above sea level. It is considered the tallest monument in South America.

Coquimbo is a port city, commune and capital of the Elqui Province, located on the Pan-American Highway, in the Coquimbo Region of Chile. Coquimbo is situated in a valley 10 km south of La Serena, with which it forms Greater La Serena with more than 400,000 inhabitants. The commune spans an area around the harbor of 1,429.3 km2 . Sequence of the journey: Chañaral (by the Pacific Ocean), Matilla Church in Pica Oasis, Arica (by the Pacific), Copaquilla, Zapahuira, Socoroma, Putre, Parinacota, Payachatas, Cota-Cotani, Lake Chungará in the High Andes. The second half was made over altitude 4.000 m (Altiplano). Chungará is at 4.500. The volcano Parinacota is at 6.300. Return: Arica, Iquique, Antofagasta, Calama, San Pedro de Atacama, Geysers El Tatio, Paso Jama, Salar de Atacama, Moon Valley, Mejillones, Bahia Inglesa, Guanaqueros (Andalué), Santiago.
