On this day there are 18 ski lifts so that the tourists can get to the 39 slopes easily and without discomfort. Accumulated the slopes add up to a length of 25 kilometers. Those who love cross country skiing also have a good excuse to visit Geilo and get the best vacation possible. The areas designated for cross country skiing are over 550 kilometers long. Some of these are lit during the night for those who wish to go out during night. Geilo has one of the best kite skiing areas in the world for those who love extreme sports. For those who wish to stay on the ground with or without skis there are also things to do. There is a kindergarten in Geilo called “Trollklubben” where they can spend their time safely while the rest of the family goes out skiing. There are also special slopes constructed for children.
