Showing the fourth day of Nijmegen March 2014 / Vierdaagse 2014.
Marching the 98th Nijmegen March.
The 50th time the Danish Nijmegent Contingent is participating.

March Team Cimbrer is a Danish team, establish in Northern Jutland.
A mix of volunteers of the Danish home-guard (Hjemmeværnet),
personnel from the main Danish army.
(Træn regiment from logistic & Medic branch)
also one from the Danish navy civilian detachment.

Overall the major part of the team where marching the Nijmegen for the first time.
Only 3 have marched before.

This video shows the fourth day of the march in 2014.
Showing the most Best parts and the general way of marching. Mix together with Music to give the video an atmosphere.

The 4th day of the Nijmegen March was effected by the tragic..
A passenger airplane MH17 (Malaysia Airlines Fligth 17),
193 Dutch citizens onboard (two-third of the total numbers),
Was shot down, due to the conflict in the east of Ukraine..

With respect and condolences to those left behind...
All military forces from Heumensoord military camp.
Didn't fly their national flags, regimental colour or platoon flags on that day...
Either military music was played or any singing was heard from the military teams...

Only one flag was flying in the camp...
The Dutch flag alone on half....

************************NOTE: Evening ord the 3rd Day************

Military participants have choice the two options; they either walk 50 km a day or 40 km when they have at least 10 kilogrammes of dead weight. (if they are over 18 years of age)
in addition to large amounts of water to keep hydrated in the heat.

When temperaturs get too high (as in 2006), the military participants are allowed to walk without their dead weight.

This decision was also made in 2006, just before the decision was made to cancel the event as a whole.

The weight requirement was also waived, on the last day, of the 2014 march due to the high heat conditions.

It was volunteer to carry the weight that day..
