A Brit's Visit to Hopkinsville, Kentucky | Finding America
This past August, we set up production in Hopkinsville, Kentucky - the best place to see the solar eclipse in the entire land. While a video had already previously been produced highlighting our experiences of the eclipse, here is a look at the rest of our journey - from distilleries to Native burial grounds.

Viewing the Solar Eclipse in Hopkinsville, Kentucky | Finding America
Having marked the event in my calendar back in 2011, there was no way I was going to miss the first total solar eclipse to hit the contiguous United States since 1979. The wife and I headed down to Hopkinsville, Kentucky, to get the best seats in the house.
Full disclosure: the eclipse images used in this video are public domain images provided by NASA. While my current recording equipment was not powerful enough to return satisfactory footage of the eclipse, I wanted to present a brief video storybook of the atmosphere in Hopkinsville.

Things We Talk About on Long Drives | Finding America
After a long weekend gearing up for the eclipse, it felt like a long journey back from Hopkinsville, Kentucky, to Chicago. Thankfully, my wife and I know how to hold down a cracking conversation. At least, that's how I saw it.

3 English Places I Once Called Home
I love my life in the United States. Indeed, I look forward to exploring it in great detail in the years ahead. But that doesn't stop an Englishman from occasionally looking eastward to the Motherland and reminiscing on the times when England was his life. Increasingly, it becomes harder to remember every small detail of my former English life, but it never fully leaves you. Especially those all-night pub crawls.
