Visit Panama: Walk in Baru National Park Boquete
Don't bother with a guide to see the famous Millenary Querus Trees in Baru National Park. Do it yourself. And, if not interested in 1,000-2,000 trees that managed to live through a volcanic eruption. Don't bother with the hike.
Monkeys, what I was looking for, are not common here! This is an after-the-fact told to me by guide, Ruben. Sigh...you win some, you lose some. By the way, Costa Rica is on the other side of Mount Baru.

The vision for the Living Waters Children’s Ranch is to create a safe and caring place for disadvantaged children. The ranch is located on 17 acres of beautiful farmland on the outskirts of a rain forest. Once completed, there will be 10 “family homes”, a chapel, and a working farm.
Each “family house” will have two loving parents and will have the capacity for up to eight children.The ranch will also function as a working farm in order to supplement the operating expenses. Each family will serve in various cottage industries to teach a good work ethic and allow the children to learn some practical skills. The children will attend the local schools, but will also have the opportunity to have music and art lessons, computer labs, and such.
The ranch will also serve as a beacon of hope to the surrounding community. The farming community of Horquetas has many of the same problems and issues that are present in Alajuelita, where 6:8 Ministries has been serving for 10 years. This will be a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ to our neighbors as we raise these kids to be Godly young adults.
Fer De Lance - Panama
One of the most dangerous snakes in the Americas.
On a night drive in the rain forest in Panama, we spotted this Fer-de-Lance in the road. I wanted some pictures of it, but my guide, Michael, didn't think I should get out, so he took my camera and got the video for me. I'm holding the spotlight, and trying to keep it on the snake. It's pitch black without the light. Michael is a brave man.
