Kalayaan, officially the Municipality of Kalayaan, is a 5th class municipality in the province of Palawan, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 184 people.Part of the Spratly Group of Islands, situated within the South China Sea, the Kalayaan municipality, which includes the Pagasa island, is 280 nautical miles north-west of Puerto Princesa and 932 kilometres south-west of Metro Manila.
