Visiting China? I wrote up some things you should know before going --
China Nightlife - We start at a couple hip bars in Zhujiang New Town aka downtown Guangzhou including Revolution Cocktail .. And then the mai event at Party Pier, the most popular night life and clubbing scene in GZ. It really is designed quite well.. all the late night bars and clubs concentrated in one ‘pier’ area .. usually going late until 4-5-6am sometimes depending on the place. This video is of O2 club, a popular one, but there’s also other clubs like Suns, and several bars like Revolution and Zapatas. Also chiller bars up on top of the pier to drink and smoke hookah. Either way, when you visit Guangzhou city you will come to Party Pier. You can take the metro aka subway there before 11pm. But usually it gets crowded around 1-2am.

Kamakura (鎌倉市 Kamakura-shi) is a city in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Although Kamakura proper is today rather small, it is often described in history books as a former de facto capital of Japan, the nation's most populous settlement from 1200 to 1300 AD as the seat of the shogunate and of the Regency during the Kamakura period. Kamakura was designated as a city on November 3, 1939.
As of September 1, 2016, the modern city has an estimated population of 172,302, and a population density of 4,358.77 persons per km2. The total area is 39.53 km2 (15.26 sq mi).
As a coastal city with a high number of seasonal festivals, as well as ancient Buddhist and Shinto shrines and temples, Kamakura is a popular tourist destination within Japan.

NHK World - Seasoning the Seasons - Kamikochi 『 上高地』 : A Sacred Mountain Paradise
Kamikochi 『 上高地』 : A Sacred Mountain Paradise
The Japan Alps run down the middle of Japan's main island of Honshu, reaching heights of 3,000 meters. Kamikochi is in the north part of the Alps, in the city of Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture. Surrounded by mountains, the valley lies at a height of around 1,500 meters. The name Kamikochi originally meant The Place where the Gods Descends to Earth. Kamikochi is the gateway to the Northern Alps, which is very popular with climbers in Japan. Every year, more than 1 million tourists visit Kamikochi.
Kamikochi is said to be The Place where the Gods Descend to Earth. The valley is only open from April through to November. Access is strictly controlled to protect the environment. Kama Tunnel is the only entrance to Kamikochi. Its gate is only open from 5 in the morning until 8 o'clock at night. Outside those times no-one can travel in or out. Only vehicles with a pass are allowed to drive through the 1.3km long tunnel which leads to Kamikochi, the mountain paradise.
One way to enjoy Kamikochi is by spending time at the unique mountain huts. One of the most well-known mountain huts is the Kamonji Hut, named for its owner. Around 120 years ago, Kamonji Kamijo, a hunter who worked in the surrounding mountains, and Walter Weston, a British missionary and alpinist known as the Father of the Japan Alps met here. They went on to make many first ascents together in the Northern Alps. Weston wrote in his book that they had a dozen trout for dinner at the hut. The hut still serves the fish to climbers.
The appeal of climbing in the Northern Alps is walking along narrow ridges between peaks. Routes can be more than 20km long. The Japan Alps are mesmerizing, but can also be quite relentless. During summer, for 50 days, local people protect climbers with their own mountain rescue service. This is the only non-governmental organization in Japan responsible for mountain safety. To prevent accidents, climbers are given advice according to their skill level.
