Kampong Chhnang: Sre Ampel waterfall site is a place where the water falls down from the mountain valleys after hundreds of kilometers, covered with the natural shadow of the forest. It is located at northern Oral mountain at Kdol village, Krang Skea commune, district district, Kampong Chhnang province.
The provincial authority has been discovering and managing the site for tourists to visit next future. Mr Seng Saly, a president of provincial tourism department raised a point on April 5, 2016 that this waterfall site is located at northern Kampong Chhnang town about 64 Km where there are many waterfall sites that the water flows from the valleys to make the condition easy to create natural tourist sites for people to swim and meet friends and family.
During the last dry season, there was not much water to swim in because the tourist community at Pusat province has stopped the water dam. However, they promise to drain the water after Sre Apel waterfall was developed and created. So no matter what seasons it will be, people can always go to swim at Sre Ampel waterfall.

Ancient Temple in Kampong Cham Province
It's hard to find this temple if you're not a local people. We're lucky to lead the way by a grandpa to this temple. Local people called it Prasat Toul Basan or Toul Preah Theat located at Baray Commune, Srey Santhor District, Kampong Cham Province. It's old and damaged due to weather and war in the past. My wife is taking this video as I'm at home taking care of my ankle.

10. Preah Vihear
Preah Vihear is a Khmer temple situated atop a 525 meter (1,722 ft) cliff in the Dângrêk Mountains, on the border between Cambodia and Thailand. It has the most spectacular setting of all the Khmer temples. Most of the temple was constructed in the 11th and 12th century during the reigns of the Khmer kings Suryavarman I and Suryavarman II.
9. Sihanoukville
Sihanoukville, also known as Kampong Som, is a port city and beach resort on the Gulf of Thailand. The big attraction here are the white-sand beaches and several undeveloped tropical islands. Sihanoukville is a good place to relax and unwind, though be prepared to battle the crows during the high season or a holiday weekend.
8. Tonle Sap
Tonlé Sap is the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia and is of major importance to Cambodia. The lake expands and shrinks dramatically with the seasons. From November to May, Cambodia’s dry season, the Tonlé Sap drains into the Mekong River at Phnom Penh.
7. Silver Pagoda
Located within the Royal Palace compound in Phnom Penh, the Silver Pagoda houses many national treasures such as gold and jeweled Buddha statues. Most notable is a small 17th century baccarat crystal Buddha (the Emerald Buddha of Cambodia) and a life-sized gold Maitreya Buddha decorated with 9584 diamonds.
6. Bokor Hill Station
Bokor Hill Station near Kampot was built by the French in the 1920s to be used as a retreat from the heat of Phnom Penh. It has since been abandoned twice, first in the 1940s when the Japanese invaded Cambodia and again in the 1970s, when the Khmer Rouge engulfed the country.
5. Kratie
Kratie is a small town located on the banks of the Mekong River and is dominated by a central marketplace surrounded by old, French colonial buildings. There’s no large scale tourism, but plenty of backpackers pour through here during the peak season.
4. Koh Ker
Koh Ker was the capital of the Khmer empire for a very brief period from the year 928 to 944 AD. In this short time some very spectacular buildings and immense sculptures were constructed. The site is dominated by Prasat Thom, a 30 meter (98 ft) tall temple pyramid rising high above the surrounding jungle.
3. Banteay Srei
Although officially part of the Angkor complex, Banteay Srei lies 25 km (15 miles) north-east of the main group of temples, and therefore often considered a separate Cambodia attraction. The temple was completed in 967 AD and is built largely of red sandstone, a medium that lends itself to the elaborate decorative wall carvings which are still clearly visible today.
2. Bayon Temple
Part of the world famous destination of Angkor, the Bayon temple features a sea of over 200 massive stone faces looking in all direction. The curious smiling faces, thought by many to be a portrait of king Jayavarman VII himself or a combination of him and Buddha, are an instantly recognizable image of Angkor.
1. Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat (meaning “City Temple”) is the most magnificent and largest of all Angkor temples and the top tourist attraction in Cambodia. Built around the first half of 12th century by King Suryavarman II, the temple’s balance, composition and beauty make it one of the finest monuments in the world.

--------------------------------------
Kampong Chhnang Province centuries ago was a coastal city on the route between China and India; due to sedimentation from the Mekong river, the coast line moved much farther to sea. When the Tonle Sap river changed its course, the city lost its main water source and thus was deserted, the population moving to a city called Kampong Tralach. A city gradually formed around it, bring new life to Kampong Chhnang. A museum presents the archaeological record of the city's history.

Cambodian New Year (Khmer: បុណ្យចូលឆ្នាំថ្មី) or Choul Chnam Thmey in the Khmer language, literally Enter New Year, is the name of the Cambodian holiday that celebrates the traditional Lunar New Year.[1] The holiday lasts for three days beginning on New Year's Day, which usually falls on April 13th or 14th, which is the end of the harvesting season, when farmers enjoy the fruits of their labor before the rainy season begins. Khmers living abroad may choose to celebrate during a weekend rather than just specifically April 13th through 16th. The Khmer New Year coincides with the traditional solar new year in several parts of India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Thailand.
Maha Sangkran (មហាសង្រ្កាន្ត)[edit]
Maha Sangkran, derived from Sanskrit Maha Sangkranta, is the name of the first day of the new year celebration. It is the end of the year and the beginning of a new one. People dress up and light candles and burn incense sticks at shrines, where the members of each family pay homage to offer thanks for the Buddha's teachings by bowing, kneeling and prostrating themselves three times before his image. For good luck people wash their face with holy water in the morning, their chests at noon, and their feet in the evening before they go to bed.
Virak Vanabat (វិរ:វ័នបត)[edit]
Vireak Vanabat is the name of the second day of the new year celebration. People contribute charity to the less fortunate by helping the poor, servants, homeless, and low-income families. Families attend a dedication ceremony to their ancestors at monasteries.
Vearak Loeng Sak (វារៈឡើងស័ក)[edit]
T'ngai Loeng Sak in Khmer is the name of the third day of the new year celebration. Buddhists wash the Buddha statues and their elders with perfumed water. Bathing the Buddha images is a symbolic practice to wash bad actions away like water clean dirt from household items. It is also thought to be a kind deed that will bring longevity, good luck, happiness and prosperity in life. By washing their grandparents and parents, the children can obtain from them best wishes and good pieces of advice to live the life for the rest of the year.
New Year's customs[edit]
In temple
In temples, people erect a sand hillock on temple grounds. They mound up a big pointed hill of sand or dome in the center which represents Valuka Chaitya, the stupa at Tavatimsa where the Buddha's hair and diadem are buried. The big stupa is surrounded by four small ones, which represent the stupas of the Buddha's favorite disciples: Sariputta, Moggallana, Ananda, and Maha Kassapa. There is another tradition called Sraung Preah (ស្រង់ព្រះ) : pouring water or liquid plaster (a mixture of water with some chalk powder) on elder relative, or people (mostly the younger generation is responsible for pouring the water).
The Khmer New Year is also a time to prepare special dishes. One of these is a kralan: a cake made from steamed rice mixed with beans or peas, grated coconut and coconut milk. The mixture is stuffed inside a bamboo stick and slowly roasted.[3]
Traditional games (ល្បែងប្រជាប្រិយ)[edit]
Travel from Thmor Kol to Krong Battambang & Moung Russei District | Travel Guide in Cambodia, Asia
The video is opening to our traveling from Thmor Kol district heading to Krong Battambang in Battambang Province. We visited the iron knife shop and stopped at Lok Ta Dambong Kranhong circle to take some photos and continued on National Highway 5 to Moung Russei district. We stopped along National Road 5 to buy some pineapples and oranges. It's a really sweet and tasty pineapples selling 10 units for 15,000riel (USD3.75) and 44 oranges is 25,000riel (US6.25). We bought 30 pineapples and 3 phlone (3 x 44 units) of oranges. The pretty vendor is really good at peeling the skin of pineapples. Everyone really enjoyed the sweet pineapples in the car along the way home.
Thank you very much for watching. Please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and SHARE this video to all Khmers and the world.
