1. Epidaurus TheaterEpidavros Epidaurus was a small city in ancient Greece, on the Argolid Peninsula at the Saronic Gulf. Two modern towns bear the name Epidavros : Palaia Epidavros and Nea Epidavros. Since 2010 they belong to the new municipality of Epidaurus, part of the regional unit of Argolis. Karathona is a long, sandy beach about 3 km from Nafplio. You can walk there on a nice path that begins at Arvanitia beach (about 45 min.), or drive via 25 Martiou Street. The beach is well developed, including several taverns, sun loungers / parasols and water sports, while there is also usually enough space for those who want to sunbathe in more peaceful surroundings. In summers, bus connection with Nafplio.
