Khao Khitchakut National Park (Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาคิชฌกูฏ) is a national park in Chanthaburi Province, Thailand. Home to waterfalls and forests, the park is also the site of a venerated Buddha footprint.[1]

Khao Khitchakut National Park is 28 kilometres (17 mi) northeast of Chanthaburi town in Khao Khitchakut District. The park's area is 59 square kilometres (23 sq mi). The highest point is Khao Phra Bat peak at 1,085 metres (3,560 ft). The park, one of Thailand's smallest national parks, borders the much larger Khao Soi Dao Wildlife Sanctuary.[1][2]

On 4 May 1977, Khao Khitchakut was designated Thailand's 14th National Park.[1]
Attractions[edit]
The Khao Phra Bat mountaintop is the site of a Buddha footprint and is an important religious place for Thai Buddhists. During the time around the Magha Puja holiday (in February or March) large numbers of visitors make the pilgrimage here. Also on Khao Phra Bat peak there are rock formations to which the shapes of various objects have been attributed: a pagoda, a monk's alms bowl, a turtle and an elephant.[1]
Near Krathing Falls in Khao Khitchakut National Park
The park's largest waterfall is Krathing, a waterfall of 13 separate levels, intersecting nature trails at various levels. These falls are fed by the Chanthaburi River. Other park waterfalls include Changsay and Klong Piboon
The town covers the two tambons Talat and Wat Mai of Mueang Chanthaburi District. As of 2005, the town had a population of 27,602. The town figures in the legacy of King Taksin. In 1981 the Thai cabinet passed a resolution to bestow on him the honorary title of the Great. When the Bank of Thailand issued the 12th Series of banknotes, called The Great Series, the monument of King Taksin the Great in the town's Tungnachaey recreational park appeared on the back of the 20 baht note issued 28 December 1981,[1] the 214th anniversary of his coronation.

Chanthaburi has a tropical monsoon climate (Köppen climate classification Am), with little variation in temperature throughout the year. Rainfall, however, varies dramatically by season. Rainfall is light and infrequent in the short dry season (December to January), but the wet season (late-April to October) features torrential rain. February, March, and November are transitional months, during which significant rainfall may occur in some years, while in other years little rain falls.

Khao Soi Dao Waterfall by Aurora Koh Chang Travel
Leaving Koh Chang on the specially-reserved first ferry we drive 2 hours to Chanthaburi province, stopping for coffee and breakfast along the way. On arrival in Khao Soi Dao National Park we begin trekking through jungle and stopping at various levels of the stunning waterfall. During rainy season or when the water level is too high we’ll stop at scenic level 9. During dry season, fit hikers can continue up a steep jungle path to the top at level 16. Either way we’ll stop for a delicious picnic lunch at whatever scenic spot we like. At the end of the trek after cooling down and rehydrating, we drive back toward the ferry and stop in Trat town for a special tasting of Thai herb-infused whiskey before catching the last ferry back to Koh Chang.

Doi Inthanon - Thailand's Highest Mountain (HD)
Doi Intanon is one amazing place located in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
This mountain is an ultra prominent peak, known in the past as Doi Luang (meaning big mountain) or Doi Ang Ka, meaning the crow's pond top. Near the mountain's base was a pond where many crows gathered. The name Doi Inthanon was given in honour of King Inthawichayanon, one of the last kings of Chiang Mai, who was concerned about the forests in the north and tried to preserve them. He ordered that after his death his remains be interred at Doi Luang, which was then renamed in his honour.

Just a short clip of our shooting location for the Chanthaburi Wrap Up clip. After days of eating and climbing of mountains its nice to be able to take a moment and just breath. Our trip has been so rip roaring that we haven't gotten to spend too much time actually just enjoying the spaces and places and the people at each location.
The tree behind us was gi-normous and awesome the way the vines hung down from it, hence choosing it for our shoot. Plus it was getting late afternoon and the sea was sparkling that just-before-sunset, late afternoon soft light glow.
We had just had lunch down the beach a bit and just meandered down here to do our shoot. Stomachs full, tired as all hell...barely got enough sleep after having come down from Khao Khitchakut but after enough Som Tum and crab just about anyone would feel rejuvenated. See you out there!!
Rayong: 2014 Koh Samet Taxi Ride from Pier to Resort GoPro (unedited)
We arrived to Koh Samet without knowing how the taxi system had changed. In the past one would simply negotiate with the taxis down by the pier or else walk up to the official entrance to the island (national park fee) and negotiate a cheaper price from there. Now all the taxis on the island have been monopolized such that all taxis work for the same agency, but all the prices from beach to beach are now fixed. So you get standardized pricing with no need to negotiate...only because the standard pricing is higher than the highest prices one would have negotiated for (-_- ) I suppose one could consider that progress.
We pass by many of the main beaches on the island as we make way towards our own resort: Haad Sai Kaew, Ao Phai, Ao Tubtim, Ao cho, Ao Tawon and finally arriving at Ao Wongduan. Haad = beach and Ao = bay. Most island locations and addresses are so named for the beach they sit upon or the bay they reside in, rather than having municipal names.
