Kilfinnane or Kilfinane is a small market town in County Limerick, Ireland. The Town's name comes from the Irish words Cill and Fhíonáin , making its meaning Church of Saint Finian. Kilfinnane is located approximately 40 km southeast of Limerick, and approximately 70 km north-northwest of Cork. It had a population of 778 people in the 2011 Census.At an elevation of over 150 metres, Kilfinnane is the highest town in County Limerick. It is surrounded on three sides by the Ballyhoura Mountains, and on the fourth side is the Golden Vale region that runs through Counties Limerick, Cork, and Tipperary.
