Kilmacolm is a village and civil parish in the Inverclyde council area, and the historic county of Renfrewshire in the west central Lowlands of Scotland. It lies on the northern slope of the Gryffe Valley, 7 1⁄2 miles south-east of Greenock and around 15 miles west of the city of Glasgow. The Falkirk Wheel is a rotating boat lift in central Scotland, connecting the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal. The lift is named after Falkirk, the town in which it is located. It reconnects the two canals for the first time since the 1930s. It opened in 2002 as part of the Millennium Link project. The plan to regenerate central Scotland's canals and reconnect Glasgow with Edinburgh was led by British Waterways with support and funding from seven local authorities, the Scottish Enterprise Network, the European Regional Development Fund, and the Millennium Commission. The sculptures were designed by sculptor Andy Scott and were completed in October 2013. The sculptures form a gateway at the eastern entrance to the Forth and Clyde canal, and the new canal extension built as part of The Helix land transformation project. It lies in the north of the county of Argyll, close to the border with the historic province of Lochaber, within the modern council area of Highland. The Kirkcudbright creamery was opened on Friday October 21st 1921 and it closed in January 2010 with a major fire occurring in December 2011. It was owned latterly by Milk Link and cost 121 jobs with the average service being between 18 - 25 years at the creamery. It has recently been earmarked for demolition, with part of the site being used for housing. Opposition had been fierce against the plans by those who felt the site should be protected for industry but ultimately the housing plans went through.

Class 380 at Gourock

The first Class 380s to visit Gourock on the night of 21 September 2010. Units 380105 and 380106 made two test runs during the course of the evening. Footage of the second trip was taken shortly after midnight, at Fort Matilda.
