hi! this is part 2 for china. this time around we are venturing into macau ^^ 1 hour ride from hong kong by sea on a jetfoil turbojet. ride wasn't pleasant, but somehow i still made it through without ruining the pretty floor in the room. if you ask me, i don't know what's worse. turbulence on a plane, or a boat constantly rocking.. that's what i kept asking myself halfway through the ride as i repeatedly checked the clock to see if that damn hour was up yet. i was just sitting in the corner of our room curled up into a ball trying to stay as still as possible amidst the tossing and turning. after it calmed down a bit, a guy came in and served some food. he then turned his head in my direction and asked, he not feel so good? sea sick? and quickly handed me a vomit bag. LOL. thank you for this lovely bag :D so I'm just there.. staring at the vomit bag ready to expel some guts and rice at any moment, but i just tried to hold it off for as long as i could.. after maybe 10-15 more mins of that, it finally started to calm down! shit son, we're hereeee... a few more mins later, i looked out the window to see that we were nearing the ferry terminal. sorry haha i just like sharing stories.. :D i like to look back at some of these unfortunate experiences and smile and laugh, and who knows, maybe someone else will too... or not....
macau actually provided me with a bit of a challenge.. we were only going to be there for a day because we still had to get back to hong kong! the last turbojet back to hong kong was at about 10:15 pm i think. we arrived at macau at 1:20 pm and got back to the ferry terminal to go home at 9:40pm. so we had about a little over 8 hours to do as much as we could in macau! that was a first for us LOL, but it was fun.. i tried to make as many vids as i could too... =) so yeah.. i decided to wear supra's because they're the only shoes that i can literally walk in all day and even cwalk and my feet still feel fine at the end of the day.. if i took vans with me, i would've had sore legs half way through the day lol. but yeah i'm pretty happy with this video. first time i'm happy with my walk in supra's. and since people ask me, they are supra suprano's. the only other time i was happy with my walk in them was my pokemon center cwalk LOL =) but yeah, i only really bought them for this trip because i needed something i could walk in all day and they turned out to be just right...
well hope you like the video and however much or little i managed to capture within the 8 hours that i was there with family =)
now.. macau.... what caught my eye first was the european influence a lot of the buildings and the infrastructure has here. =o lol. macau is a place for james bond and other people out there who live that kind of lifestyle. at the end of the day, we came to the conclusion that macau is mainly casino's, girls (belladona), and luxury hotels. with some churches and ruins and stuff. and pork jerky.
first time ever gambling here too lol, figured i might as well give it a try since that's what macau is partially famous for lol.. tried my luck at the casino lisboa. tried the slot machine.. put in 10 hk$, lost it straight away lol.. didn't know what the heck i was doing... then i put in 20 hk$ and started to get a hang of it and figured out what the buttons actually did LOL... ended up winning about 114 hk$.. after that i cashed out and ran for my life... it's not much but i guess it got me free food and milk tea... hahaha =) so i can't complain hehe
what i'm going to remember most about macau.. probably the ruins of st paul.. annd the gondola ride at the venetian.. i've never experienced that.. just being on a boat and having someone sing to us.. it was just me sister mum and dad on the boat so it was really happy and fun =] half way through me and my dad intentionally rocked the boat to the point that we almost fell in.. it was just for fun =]
.. at first i didn't want to go on another boat again because i kept thinking about the ride to macau.. still felt queasy from that.. but i just said what the heck and hopped in the boat anyway.. and boy was i glad i did.. i guess that's how it is sometimes.. life is about risks.. i guess we end up risking more in life when we don't risk anything at all.. whatcha think son :]
thanks for watching.. in part 3, we're on our way back to hong kong =)
