Lake Serre-Ponçon is a reservoir in the departments of Hautes-Alpes and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, in southeast France, one of the largest in Western Europe. The lake gathers the waters of the Durance and the Ubaye rivers, flowing down through the Hautes-Alpes and the Alpes du Sud to the Rhône River. The waters are dammed by the Barrage de Serre-Ponçon, a 123-metre high earth core dam. As well as water control, sixteen hydroelectric plants use the water , and the lake provides irrigation to 1,500 square kilometres of land.

Pèlerinage National de la Presse Paroissiale du 18 au 21 Avril 2018 . Au cœur de la mission !

À La Salette, Marie dit aux enfants : « Je suis ici pour vous conter une bonne nouvelle », et à la fin du message, elle les envoie par ces mots : « Allons mes enfants, faites-le bien passer à tout mon peuple. » Ces mots prennent un relief particulier pour tous les acteurs des journaux paroissiaux. Il s’agit bien pour nous de « faire passer » au plus grand nombre cette Bonne Nouvelle qui nous anime. La mission nous presse : « Tous ont le droit de recevoir l’Évangile » nous rappelle le pape François. Nous nous proposons de vivre à la fois un temps de ressourcement, de pèlerinage, d’approfondissement de notre mission au service de la presse paroissiale et d’échange entre nous pour nous conforter et repartir avec plein d’idées à mettre en œuvre…

On 19 September 1851, Pope Pius IX formally approved the public devotion and prayers to Our Lady of La Salette, referring to its messages of apparition as secrets. On 24 August 1852, Pope Pius IX once again mentioned the construction of the altar to La Salette. The same papal bull granted the foundation of the Association of Our Lady of La Salette, formalised on 7 September (1852 ?).
On 21 August 1879, Pope Leo XIII formally granted a canonical coronation to the Virgin Mary's image at the Basilica of Our Lady of La Salette. A Russian style tiara was granted to the image, instead of the solar-type tiara used in its traditional depictions of Our Lady during her apparitions.
There is also a sanctuary dedicated to Our Lady of La Salette in Oliveira de Azeméis, in Portugal, a shrine in Attleboro, Massachusetts, in the United States, known for its Christmas lights, a Chapel in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, in México.
