Palace Cinemas currently comprises 20 cinemas with 91 screens. The business employs over 500 staff and the head office is in the Melbourne suburb of Balwyn, connected to the Balwyn Theatre , which is the oldest theatre/cinema operated by Palace, and one of the oldest cinemas still in operation in Australia, having opened in originally in 1930.     Sydney Bus Museum is a not-for-profit transportation museum and education centre for public benefit located in the suburb of Leichhardt, in Sydney, Australia. It opened in 1986 in the former Tempe Bus Depot being formally opened in April 1988. Following the State Transit Authority deciding to re-open the depot for its Metrobus operation, the museum was allocated space in a disused part of Leichhardt depot in 2010.The museum is open to the public on the first and third Sunday of each month.The museum restores, maintains, displays and operates buses from the 1920s to recent eras. It also provides buses for historical celebrations, and for film and photo shoots.

    The Hawthorne Canal, a southern tributary of the Parramatta River, is an heritage–listed artificial waterway located in the western reaches of Sydney Harbour, in the inner–western Sydney suburbs of Lewisham, Summer Hill, Haberfield, and Leichhardt in New South Wales, Australia. Hawthorne Canal and Iron Cove Creek are two significant tributaries that flow into Iron Cove, where it flows into Parramatta River, before connecting with Port Jackson. The canal was originally a natural waterway known as Long Cove Creek, that has been straightened and given artificial banks.

    Johnny Dole & The Scabs were one of the first punk rock bands in Australia; they played live and recorded in Sydney, during 1977–78. The band mutated out of the Strays, a typical cover band, who were looking for a new drummer to complete the line-up. After finding the right one, the band consisted of Terry Walsh , Peter Mullany , Mark Wong See , Dave Berry , and Greg Morris .
