8 Things NOT To Do in Miami
Get more Tips here! destinationtips.com
Miami's Cuban influence is reflected in the cafes and cigar shops all over Little Havana. But despite its colorful art deco buildings, white sand, surfside hotels and trendsetting nightclubs, there are certainly a few things NOT to do in Miami.
1) Do NOT carry a cocktail in the street
Carrying any alcoholic beverage on Washington Avenue or Collins on South Beach will get you arrested.
This ain’t New Orleans people.
2) Drive at you own risk
Miamians will be the first to tell you that they are horrible, crazy drivers and that a lot of their roads don't make much sense. If you're not prepared for the stress, just stick to cabs.
3) Don't pay upfront.
In Miami you pay when they bring it. Apply this to everything as they aren’t going to “Come right back” with whatever you were trying to buy here. You will never see your money again.
4) Don't Underdress
Miami is not the capital of appropriate dressing and most places don't care what you wear. But after dark unless you're dining at McDonald's, leave the bathing suits and flip-flops at your hotel. This isn't Key West.
5) Respect Miami's Unique Timezone
Just like the road signs, the clock is only a suggestion here. If a Miamian arrives 2-4 hours late, he's still on time!
6) Do NOT assume honesty from anyone.
We hate to say this, but unless you’re being pampered by hotel staff you should know everyone here is up to something. Nobody does anything here without 'motivation'. Be aware.
7) Don't wear that “South Beach” shirt
That t-shirt will look cool when you are back home to Wisconsin, but in South Beach it just screams 'tourist'!
8 ) Don't get arrested over the weekend
If you get locked up on Friday night you won't be seeing the judge until Tuesday! Also, if there's a shooting and you're filming it with your phone, you just might get locked up too!
Just remember, before you get wild and crazy that Miami is still part of the United States so know the rules before you go!
8 Things NOT to Do in Russia!
Get more Tips here! destinationtips.com
A lot of people have been asking about things not to do in Russia, so here it is!
1. Don’t Smile Without a Reason
The Russians have a saying: “To smile with no reason, is a sign of a fool.” So don’t randomly smile at strangers while you’re riding on public transportation or shopping in Moscow.
2. Don’t Shake Hands With Your Gloves On
It is considered extremely impolite to leave your gloves on while greeting someone with a handshake. So make sure you remove your gloves before any interaction occurs.
3. Don’t Show Up Empty Handed
If you’re invited over to someone’s house for a dinner or a visit, it is considered very rude to show up empty handed. Bring a small gift!
4. Don’t Ever Give a Gift of an Empty Wallet
Russians believe that giving a gift of an empty wallet or purse is bad luck. They see it as wishing financial hardship or poverty on the receiver of the gift. Put some cash in it, for goodness sake.
5. Don’t Leave Your Shoes On
Whenever entering a Russian home it is proper custom to remove your shoes. Many homes are decorated with expensive Persian rugs that are difficult to clean.
6. Don’t Whistle Indoors
Like many Asian cultures, whistling indoors in Russia is considered bad luck. Russians are very superstitious and believe that whistling inside may cause financial ruin, poverty, or another invasion of cockroaches.
7. Don’t Refuse a Shot
Sharing a drink is considered a sign of hospitality. Russians don’t see one shot as a big deal either, so to them a refusal comes off as untrusting or turning down friendship.
8. Don’t Sit at the Corner of the Table
This is another Russian superstition. It is said that “the one who chooses a seat at the corner of a table is destined to never be married or find their lover.”
Worst Places for Americans to Visit Around The World
Get more Tips here!
Whether they pose a threat to travelers’ safety, or may cause detrimental harm to one’s physical health, here is our list of the 10 worst places for Americans to visit around the world.
1. Saudi Arabia
The U.S. Department of State advises Americans to exercise extreme caution when visiting Saudi Arabia, due to, in part, the increased amount of armed conflict. One place in particular, Edge of the World in Riyadh, was once an insanely popular tourist destination. But, maybe, it's better to stay away.
2. El Salvador
Amazing views, delicious cuisine and impressive ruins will have to wait due to the increase in violence. One day, Americans may finally get the green light to make the trek to El Salvador again.
3. Somalia
The U.S. Department of State even suggests those who ignore their warning to draft their last will and testament before heading out to this East African country. The country’s prime minister has dreams of a brighter future, and our fingers are crossed, too, cause it's an amazing place.
4. Honduras
Americans might want to think twice about traveling to Honduras, especially since the lack of police and increased incidents of crime. Hopefully it will change soon, cause there's so much to see about Maya history.
5. Democratic Republic of the Congo
It's not a good place because of the problems with the Ebola and armed conflict. But it's a very different place full of beautiful mountains, volcanoes and the Lake Kivu.
6. Bangkok, Thailand
This county is quite the opposite, it's not a good place because of us, the tourists. It's so crowded that we're starting to affect negatively the country. So, maybe, it's better it give it a time.
7. Afghanistan
Recent wars, Communist coups, and attacks make it a really bad place to visit. Hopefully, one day we'll be able to see the stunning Hindu Kush mountains and breathtaking lakes.
8. North Korea
It isn’t entirely impossible to visit North Korea, and the U.S. Department of State advises its citizens that traveling to the East Asian country could result in arrest and long-term detention by the hands of North Korea’s government officials.
9. Mount Everest
Mountain trekkers have to come up with the estimated $40,000 to be guided up the mountain by a local Nepali operator, and there are physical dangers for climbing to the peak, as well, including frostbite and hypothermia from the freezing temperatures. So... a bit risky.
10. Beijing, China
This is the worst place to visit because of the serious air pollution. They have made smog a huge problem in the city, resulting in the government to implement emergency measures to help alleviate the problem. You should wait until they fix it.
Which one do you think is the worst place to visit?

7. The Kola Peninsula
6. The Gulf of Finland
5. Vladivostok

Worst Travel Destinations in the World
Get more Tips here!
Tourists are often wary of traveling to certain destinations that maintain a reputation of being “unsafe”. We’ve compiled a list of the 10 worst travel destinations around the world based on these factors.
1. Port au Prince, Haiti
Since the 2010 earthquake, Port au Prince has been falling even further into decline. This city lacks basic healthcare and education systems and is stricken with severe poverty. Locals are purposefully kept far from tourists, making the experience hardly authentic for travelers who visit there.
2. Damascus, Syria
There has been a temporary suspension of commercial flights and closure of roadways. Some threats are very high in Damascus and the surrounding suburbs. While its a historically and culturally rich city, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office advises that Damascus is one of the worst travel destinations in the world right now.
3. Mogadishu, Somalia
Recently named by the US State Department as the most dangerous place on Earth, Mogadishu is not expected to be a popular tourist destination anytime soon. Mogadishu is not only the headquarters for non good people in the Horn of Africa, but new non licit organizations are forming everyday.
4. Pyongyang, North Korea
The only American who has been warmly welcomed into North Korea recently was basketball superstar, Dennis Rodman. Unless you look like him, don’t expect to be able to wander freely around the country. Tourists can only visit Pyongyang under the supervision of accredited tour guides, and the tours themselves are strictly regulated and restricted by the government.
5. Ciudad Juarez, Mexico
Considered one of the capitals of the world for bad people, vacationing in Ciudad Juarez is not recommended. This Mexican city has had lots of issues with the law. The big lords looking to maintain a stronghold of their supplies to the American market often threat innocent people to maintain their border city.
6. Bogotá, Colombia
Bogotá is not the best city at all. Some outlaw groups and other organizations continue to hold civilians, including foreigners, for ransom or as political bargaining chips. If you must travel to Bogotá, do so with extreme caution.
7. Dhaka, Bangladesh
The city’s nearby river is beautiful, but also severely polluted. Dhaka’s political system is highly wrong and proper healthcare and infrastructure systems are lacking in this capital city. Bangladesh does have the potential to be a tourist-worthy country, but government officials must improve humanitarian concerns and cleanliness standards in Dhaka before we would recommend it.
8. Skegness, England
Brits frequent this disappointing town hoping to spend some time at the beach, but traveling to Skegness has become a joke. The town, which appears to be stuck in the past, offers very few attractions for tourists to enjoy and is overpriced. This is one of the worst travel destinations.
9. Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
Papua New Guinea’s capital city is known for its frequent lawlessness. All the bad issues take place daily. Port Moresby is replete with waste and pollution and offers few attractions for tourists.
10. Moscow, Russia
Moscow experiences extreme weather conditions during most months, making travel extremely unpleasant. Political problem levels are high in Russia’s capital city. Even the police are known to not precisely help tourists. We recommend visiting neighboring St. Petersburg instead.
Which of these cities surprised you the most?
