View from the balcony of our room of the arrival port on the famous Isle of Capri. It is a short ferry ride here from Naples, Sorrento, or several towns on the Amalfi coast. April 9 was a perfect day with afternoon temps in the 70s. Sunburned college students, young couples, and tourists were exploring the waterfront shops and restaurants.

Beautiful view from the highest point on Capri
On top of Monte Solare on Capri wenseday 5. may 2010 on a daytrip from napoli. Me (Bjarte from Norway) and two canadians went together to this beautiful Island and had a fantastic day there. We took a skilift up to the highest point of the Island and the view from the top was like from a dream. The Cliff was so cool, the water so blue and all the seagulls were flying around like crazy.
The highest point of this 10sq.km large island is at Monte Solare, the sun mountain. It is located on the west side of the island. This mountain is responsible for keeping the climate fairly mild, as it blocks the cold winds from sweeping over the island. Because of this climate the vegetation is very lush.
