My experience over easter in Rome and the Vatican. I went to the way of the cross at the Colosseum, the evening Easter Vigil service, the morning Easter mass, and saw the Pope a couple times.

Urbino is a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1998 and it's an unbelievable destination to visit and walk the cobble stone streets from past centuries. Did you know that Raphael the painter was born there? Urbino sits on top of to hills overlooking a precious valley. The Grand Duke's Ducal palace is the center-piece of the town. The Duomo the Cathedral was another project of the Grand Duke of Federico de Montefeltrol, it sits next to the family residence. Urbino is also a college town where lots of young people mill around or sit in cafes sipping coffee.
Fano
Augustus stands at the entrance gate of the walled city of Fano. Fano is a Roman and modern gem found behind Roman walls and it's a journey beyond time. It's also a very vital town with lots of activities and festivals. The cobble stone streets are conducive for walking or riding bikes, as there were numerous bikes along the trail.

Sant'Elpidio Morico
Abitanti 75 (2001)
Sant'Elpidio Morico è un ex comune italiano della provincia di Fermo. Fu comune prima dell'Unità d'Italia e fino al 1860 appartenne alla delegazione pontificia di Fermo. Oggi è una frazione di 75 abitanti di Monsampietro Morico. È situata a circa 4 km dal capoluogo, in posizione leggermente più elevata (310 m s.l.m.).
Sant'Elpidio fu fondata, insieme a Monsampietro Morico e alla vicina Monte Rinaldo, da Maugero o Malugero Melo verso il 1061, figlio del nobile normanno Drogone d'Altavilla conte delle Puglie. L'attributo Morico deriverebbe, secondo la tradizione, dal nome della moglie del fondatore, una certa Morica. In realtà tale denominazione sembra essere affine al termine latino murex, forse in riferimento alla specie vegetale Medicago murex piuttosto che al genere di mollusco murex (murice).
Altra fonte di equivoci è il nome del paese, detto popolarmente San Lupidiucciu (San Lopidiuccio): pare infatti si tratti di due distinte località. L'originale Sant'Elpidio Morico sarebbe da collocare poco a nord, in contrada Portella. D'altronde, l'attuale Sant'Elpidio non ha pianta triangolare, bensì quadrilaterale.
Il comune di Sant'Elpidio Morico fu soppresso nel 1868 e aggregato dapprima a Monsampietro, poi (20 settembre 1870) a Monteleone di Fermo, per tornare definitivamente con Monsampietro il 1º maggio 1893.

As part of a new series of summer exhibitions drawn from the National Gallery's permanent collection, 'Devotion by Design' (6 July -- 2 October 2011) focuses on Italian altarpieces ranging from the 13th century to the end of the 15th century.
This exhibition of over 40 works investigates the original functions and locations, as well as formal, stylistic and typological developments of altarpieces, drawing on the wealth of scientific examination and scholarly study undertaken in this field over the past 30 years.

50° compleanno Lamezia Terme dal drone FHD 1080p
Dopo un lungo periodo di sosta dei VOLI DRONATICI, dovuto più che altro al maltempo invernale, torno questa volta, con un volo un pò particolare, dedicato a tutti i miei concittadini di Lamezia Terme, e a tutti i lametini che vivono all'estero, ricordando, qualora qualcuno lo avesse momentaneamente dimenticato, quanto sia bella la nostra città, nonostante le problematiche quotidiane.
Ho voluto proporre la mia visione dall'alto.
Spesso per vedere meglio qualcosa, dobbiamo leggermente allontanarci per guardarla nel suo insieme.
Vi invito a lasciarvi andare alle immagini e a riflettere su quanto abbiamo invece costruito in questi 50 anni...
