GoPro Trinidad - Paria Bay and Waterfall
One place every Trinbagonian should visit is Paria Bay and Waterfall.
Location
Paria Bay
Filled with lots of wonderful attractions to fascinate the nature lover. The beach with its silky smooth sand is 1.5 km long and every year during the months of February to July the leatherback turtles come ashore nightly to nest. At the western end of the bay, the sea eroded the landscape to create a spectacular arch called Cathedral Rock. The rocks surrounding the bay provide suitable areas to relax and fish.
Paria Waterfall
A fifteen-minute walk alongside the river will lead to one of the country’s most spectacular waterfalls. The Paria Waterfall with its fresh, clean water coming from remote areas of the Northern Range has a large plunge pool to bath and swim. The adventurous can climb on the rocks and jump 10 feet into deep areas of the pool. One can test their skills by swimming against the current to reach behind the cascade where there is an overhang.
Hiking Time
One-way: 1 ½ - 2 hours
Fitness Levels
With all hikes its not a race so therefore setting the pace for yourself and resting when you need to is important. Know yourself and don't measure yourself by others ahead.
Basic Individual Hiking Starter Pack
*Comfortable shoes (remains comfortable for 3hours and more)
*Comfortable fitting clothing
* A hat of some sort
*At least 2-3 Liters of water.
*Sandwich, salt prunes in case of cramp and a sweet to assist with some energy.
*Ziplock or some sort of waterproof bag to protect your keys and phone if needed
Couples
*Plan this ahead off time so that both parties are aware that they are going into the bush and would need to stand strong for the hours spent there.
*Keep motivating each other during the hike, especially as first timers. It gets hard at times physically and you don't want to enter the forest in a relationship and leave single......all because you are tired and frustrated and cuss up your partner.
*Take lots of pictures and videos because most times you are not returning to that spot for some months.
Conclusion
As a nation we are bombarded by grief, pain and horror associated with the content the media houses put forward. I am no one special but only seeking to bring refreshing and enjoyable content to you. Step Outside Your Comfort Zone and enjoy all that is in store for us in our beautiful Trinidad & Tobago.

Rio Seco Waterfall Trinidad Testimonial
Known as the Fountain of Youth”, the Rio Seco Waterfall is located in Northeast Trinidad in the tropical Matura Forest. Here's what some of Road Trip TT's customers had to say about their journey.
What makes the falls so impressive is the expansive emerald green basin for swimming with both shallow and deep areas that everyone can enjoy!
One can relax and bask in the magnificent scenery and the picturesque landscape around the falls or those seeking a thrill can jump fifteen feet into the sparkling aquamarine beauty of the pool.
The hike is rated 4 out of 10 (Easy) and is 45 minutes long (One way).

Hiking With Hana - Picnic In The Pines At Mt. Tabor - Trinidad & Tobago!
Welcome to episode two (2) of Hiking With Hana!
In January 2019, we introduced the fourteen (14) year old adventurer in the debut episode of the Fuzz Events & Entertainment monthly series, when she visited L'eau Michelle Mud Volcano & L'eau Michelle Beach, off Bunsee Trace, Rock Road, Penal, Trinidad. She was accompanied then by her younger sister, aunt, uncles and visiting grandparents.
Today, the curious explorer is accompanied by some different 'fam' (family) which includes her cousin Aliyah and aunt Heidi. They'll be joining with the quite experienced and extremely well reputed 'Trini' hiking group, Caribbean Hiking Adventures, for today's 'Picnic In The Pines @ Mt. Tabor' (pronounced Tay-Boar), Trinidad.
The day's adventure begins with a stop at Anand's stall at the Tunapuna Market for a supply of fresh fruits for the hike. Afterward, the trio meet up with CHA for registration and check in before beginning the journey up Mt. St. Benedict, past the Monastery, en route to the start of the trail. Hana, neither her guests have been to the Pines before but have all heard of just how magnificent, majestic and breath taking it is. Let's just say that they were not nearly disappointed.
Hana brought some samples of her baking skills to the picnic party which included lemon poppy seed and cinnamon cupcakes. She also picked up some K&A Sweets (Indian delicacies) which paired well with the hot hazelnut chocolate drink she carried and guarded in her blue handle bag. She in turn was guarded by some of the hike leaders from the Caribbean Hiking Adventures team, who enabled her free reign to explore the pines whilst ensuring her safety at every step of the trail. They even went a few steps further in providing her and the girls with some amazing entertainment including singing, signature moves and some downhill slides (which, unfortunately, we weren't able to catch on camera).
Hope you enjoy the journey with Hana on today's mountain top adventure as she re-discovers the pines that were planted to prevent the spread of forest and bush fires on these Northern Range hillsides but have now themselves turned into an attraction that draws thousands of people to them, annually (just like Hana hopes her Goldsy pictures would do for her).
