#Batam is the largest city in the province of #RiauIslands, Indonesia. Batam is just across the water from Singapore. It only takes 40 min by fast ferry from HarbourfrontCentre, Singapore and cost SGD 35-50 for a return ferry ride. Batam features many beautiful beaches, resorts, spas, restaurants and cafes and is a popular weekend gateway in Indonesia. The night life here is very lively and the signature attraction is their water sports. #BarelangBridge is a must watch attraction.

HOW TO TRAVEL FROM SINGAPORE TO BATAM INDONESIA

Batam is about 1,595 Km size island. About 45 minutes bout ride from Singapore.

It is very convenient to take boat or ferries from Singapore to go to Batam Indonesia.
Number of Ferry provider is waiting for your at Harbour Front or the Singapore Cruise Center.

Therefore there is no need to book in advance.

Once you arrive in Harbour front Singapore, you can go to First and second floor where you could buy ferry ticket to Batam.

It will cost you $25 Singapore dollars one way.

I advise you not to buy a 2 way ticket so you are flexible when you coming back to Singapore from Batam.

In Batam, there are many places you can go to stay, plenty of decent hotels such as:

Radisson = Western

Eska =

Best Western =

And a lot more.

Price ranging from $38 To $200 for 2 to 4 Star hotels.

Food wise, if you wan to experience local food, head down to Windsor food court.

Taxi are also available but may are not reliable.

Where to hotel stay in Batam 2018?

We booked our hotel here -

Adventures in Batam + the best place to stay in Batam
We also went to Nagoya shopping mall and Mega Mall where watching a movie is very cheap :)

From what we saw, there were no free hotel shuttle buses providing pick-up from the Batam Ferry Terminal, maybe it has something to do with the taxi business there (we could be wrong). Uber and Grab is also useless unless you book a ride from a destination where there are no taxi group posts.

We stayed at Best Western Premier Panbil which is around 7-8kms away from the Ferry terminal, taxi charged us 750k Rupiah

The hotel provides a free shuttle to nagoya and megamall shopping center.

Tips:
1. Take the Sindo ferry if you are a ntuc member, they offer free fares if you bring the membership card with you (tax paid separately)
2. Megamall which was very nice and comparable to SG malls is connected to the ferry terminal via covered bridge pathway. Bridge entrance is at level 2 beside the departure gate
3. Be mindful of the food prices especially in the hotel, most of the stated price excludes the GST and service charge which is approx 21% of the total bill.

如何从新加坡坐船去巴淡島旅游

印尼巴淡島地理位置就落在新加坡南方20公里處，遊客可先搭乘班機從新加坡樟宜國際機場入境，再搭車到10分鐘車程遠的丹娜美拉碼頭（TANAH MERAH）或去Harbourfront 渡轮港轉搭1小時1班的渡輪前往巴淡島，新加坡往返巴淡岛的快速渡轮，一小时内就可从新加坡到达巴淡岛，享受既方便又快捷的乘船体验。
从新加坡出发前往巴淡岛的渡轮航班班次很多。渡轮港口有Harbour Front 及 Tanah Mera 两个。印尼方虽有五个渡口但主要的是Batam Centre 和 Harbour Bay 这两个渡轮港。
7 条轮渡航线每天有 79 趟航班，由 Sindo Ferry, Horizon Fast Ferry, Batam Fast Ferry 以及 Majestic Fast Ferry 经营。
根据我们的親身体验，到巴淡Harbourbay 港口是最方便的航线之一，该处交通流暢 ，餐饮店林立 ，且到巴淡島的 最大城市 NOGOYA 也很方便。
近年来因為五星級飯店品牌紛紛進駐，儼然成為印尼國境中僅次於峇里島的第二大觀光景點。走進巴淡島熱鬧的市區中，沿途一幢幢五顏六色的建築整齊排列，繽紛的色彩讓人看得目不轉睛，很容易就對這個熱情的島嶼敞開心扉。爱购物的女士们可以先到NAGOYA HILL购物中心血拚一下，那里有中、西餐，印尼餐、斑蘭葉蛋糕，清真食品、包包、首飾应有尽有，還能在此看場電影。
