Kuching is the capital of Sarawak, a Malaysian state on the beautiful island of Borneo. It's a great laid back city that perfectly suits for a stay to visit some of Borneo's sightseeing spots.
But Kuching itself also has some nice things to see. A good starting point is the Kuching Waterfront. With a nice bridge and buildings, it definitely gives Kuching something very unique.
Apart from the waterfront you also find some nice temples, cat statues and of course, shopping centers.

HOW TO TRAVEL FROM SINGAPORE TO BATAM INDONESIA
Batam is about 1,595 Km size island. About 45 minutes bout ride from Singapore.
It is very convenient to take boat or ferries from Singapore to go to Batam Indonesia.
Number of Ferry provider is waiting for your at Harbour Front or the Singapore Cruise Center.
Therefore there is no need to book in advance.
Once you arrive in Harbour front Singapore, you can go to First and second floor where you could buy ferry ticket to Batam.
It will cost you $25 Singapore dollars one way.
I advise you not to buy a 2 way ticket so you are flexible when you coming back to Singapore from Batam.
In Batam, there are many places you can go to stay, plenty of decent hotels such as:
Radisson = Western
Eska =
Best Western =
And a lot more.
Price ranging from $38 To $200 for 2 to 4 Star hotels.
Food wise, if you wan to experience local food, head down to Windsor food court.
Taxi are also available but may are not reliable.

Few of the frequented and availed attractions include the impressive Resorts World, Tiger Sky Tower, Singapore Butterfly an Insect Kingdom, Universal Studios Singapore and one of the biggest concoctions of aquatic species in the world- SEA Aquarium.
10.The Night Safari:
The Night Safari opens in Singapore its shutter post the dusk falls and welcomes you in a thrilling world of nocturnal species and their lowly-lit homes. This Singapore tourist place is the world’s first-night safari park, Night Safari is one of the must-visit places to visit in Singapore.More than an original safari, the Night Safari shares a resemblance with a wildlife park, with some 2,500 resident animals from a myriad 130 species, including the Malayan Tiger and Malayan Tapir.
