Niemodlin [ɲeˈmɔdlʲin] is a town in Opole County, Opole Voivodeship, Poland, with 6,911 inhabitants . It was first mentioned as Nemodlin in a 1224 deed and received town privileges in 1283. Originally a part of the Duchy of Opole, after the death of Duke Bolko I Niemodlin became the capital of a duchy in his own right from 1313 to 1382. When the Opole line of the Piast dynasty became extinct in 1532, various noble families like the House of Zierotin and the Prazma held the estate until the 1940s, leaving a Renaissance castle, built about 1600.

The Moszna Castle is a historic castle and residence located in a small village of Moszna, in southwestern Poland. The castle is one of the best known monuments of the Upper Silesian region and has been often featured in the list of most beautiful castles in the world.The history of this building begins in the 17th century, although much older cellars were found in the gardens during excavations carried out at the beginning of the 20th century. Some of the those could have been remnants of a presumed Templar stronghold. After World War II, further excavations discovered a medieval palisade.

Visiting Poland November 2018

Due to 100th anniversary of regaining independence by Poland, I went to my homeland ro be there and see it on my own eyes and spend some time with my Mum. I travelled across Poland from Wroclaw to Gliwice, Katowice, Krakow, salt mine in Wieliczka, Poznan, Wrzesnia, Warsaw and then back to Wroclaw Aiport (alltogether 2000kms). It was a real pleasure and honour to be part of Independence March where more than 250,000 people walked and celebrated together with Polish flags in our hands. It was wonderful time! Poland is my place on Earth!

Pałac Ossolińskich (Sterdyń, Poland)

The oldest information about Sterdyń comes from 1446 year. The very first reported owner was Piotr Kiszka of Oakwood Forest's family crest after whom his son, Mikolaj has inherited the property along with Ciechanowiec. Sterdynians goods were ruled by Kiszków's family until 1622.

In 1673 Zbigniew Ossoliński, the next fortune owner gave the estate to his son, Jerry the nurski's ensign. Jerry's governance left for 15 years and provided stability in Sterdyń. At that time the Palace was thoroughly redeveloped in baroque style. The last from Ossoliński's family member, Stanislaw, had finished the Church's building, redeveloped Palace in a classical taste and contributed in the new spatial moulding of Sterdinian's residency.

In 1809 his daughter Emily married Joseph Wawrzyniec-Krasiński from Ślepowron's family crest.

20 lat na żelaznym szlaku LHS

20 lat temu pojawił się w sieci niezwykły serwis internetowy, którego celem jest popularyzacja linii kolejowej LHS, najdłuższego w Polsce szlaku o szerokim rozstawie szyn. Jest to obecnie jedna z najstarszych witryn internetowych poświęconych kolejnictwu w Polsce. Kontynuując niepisaną tradycję LHS, nie było oficjalnej gali z okazji jubileuszu, czy hucznej imprezy ale był on okazją do spotkania się na szlaku. Kilkoro entuzjastów kolejnictwa, z różnych stron Polski opowiada swoje historie i przygody związane z tym niezwykłym szerokotorowym szlakiem. I o tym jest ten film. Żałuję jedynie, iż mimo tego jak wielu przyjaciół posiadam wśród pracowników PKP LHS, ze względu na ich dobro nie mogłem również ich wypowiedzi nakręcić i zamieścić w filmie. Może kiedyś to się zmieni...
