1. Troyan MonasteryTroyan Troyan is a town remembering the name of Roman Emperor Trajan, in Lovech Province in central Bulgaria with population of 21,997 inhabitants, as of December 2009. It is the administrative centre of the homonymous Troyan Municipality. The town is about 162 kilometres away from the country capital Sofia. The nearest civilian airport is Gorna Oryahovitsa, 105 kilometres away. The river of Beli Osam passes through the heart of the town. The 2011 Census indicates that the population of the Trojan was 21.194 inhabitants. The racial distribution of the inhabitants is ethnic Bulgarians , with minorities being Roma and Turks . A weekend in Troyan, Bulgaria. Beautiful town in the central Balkan area. This is the city of the traditional bulgarian drink Rakia. Near the city is one of the best motocross track in Europe. You can see there the national motocross championship. Have a nice time.

A la altura de Lovech giramos hacia Troyan para ver el tercer monasterio más importante del país.
El Monasterio de Troyan estaba abierto pero la iglesia la cerraban a las 16 horas por lo que tuvimos que conformarnos con verla por fuera, aunque sus arcadas llenas de pinturas no tenían desperdicio. Los niños disfrutaron con la nieve que envolvía el monasterio mientras nosotros contemplábamos nuestro primer escenario monacal búlgaro, es decir, estancias de los monjes que rodeaban un patio interior donde se levantaba una iglesia ortodoxa. Como no había nadie hicimos fotos y video a placer, pero siempre disimulando un poco, parece que hagamos algo ilegal por plasmar en imágenes los recuerdos que borra el paso del tiempo.
Habíamos llegado a las 18:10 y marchamos a las 18:35, llegando a Veliko Tarnovo a las 20:05.
