EXPLORING the BEACHES of MYKONOS: the GOOD, the BAD and the SUPER UGLY (GREECE)
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go to one of the world's most famous island, the Greek island of Mykonos and let's visit a few of its 27 (official) beaches. We are going to visit the beaches of Ornos, Paradise, Super Paradise, Agios Stephanos, Agia Anna, Kalafatis, Platis Yialos (and others) and we will place the beaches into 3 categories: the Good (meaning, I liked them), the Bad (meaning they were ok, there is something annoying about them) and the Ugly (which really means I disliked them). At the end, we will see the last undeveloped beach (which will be taken over and will be completely changed within a year).
The first 3 beaches, ELIA, KALAFATIS and KALO LIVADHI - you will need transportation (I had a motorcycle, which was ok) to get to. AGIOS STEFANOS is the closest to the main town and you can there in 10 minutes by bus, it is very close to the new port or the main marina; AGIA ANNA, you will need transportation as well; ONOS, you can there by bus from the main town (10 minutes by bus), sae with PLATIS YIALOS (or GIALOS); PANORMOS, you will need transportation, it is quite far; and finally, for both, PARADISE and SUPER PARADISE BEACH, you will need your own transportation.. I mentioned the names of the beaches here in the order that they appear on the video!!
Mykonos is an island in the Cyclades group in the Aegean Sea. It's popularly known for its summer party atmosphere. Beaches such as Paradise and Super Paradise have bars that blare thumping music. Massive dance clubs attract world-renowned DJs and typically stay open well past dawn. Iconic landmarks include a row of 16th-century windmills, which sit on a hill above Mykonos town.

Mykonos, Greece | Must Do Travels
Hey Must Do Travels Tribe and welcome back to another episode as we continue to explore the world together! Today we’re checking out the awesome island of Mykonos, Greece, also known as the Island of the Winds. Mykonos’s major industry is tourism and known for its vibrant nightlife.
This is probably one of the most picturesque parts of the whole island. Sit outside and have a cocktail while admiring the beautiful Mykonos sunset by the sea near the old white fishing houses with colored balconies. Get there early though because this is a hot spot.
Need to get some souvenirs while you’re here? No problem. Take a stroll through the iconic small alleyways and streets of Mykonos. They are filled with small souvenir shops ranging from the popular t-shirts and stuff to unique handmade items. You’re guaranteed to find the perfect gift.
This is a pretty cool part of the island. With restaurants and bars along the port, it is a great spot to sit and watch the sunset or the comings and goings of the locals. There are tons of colorful boats ranging from row boats, to motor boats and houseboats, to cruise ships.
The Windmills could be the most iconic parts of the island. There are many scattered around the island but the main ones are in a row on a hill harnessing the strong northern winds. They were built by the venetians starting in the 16th century to mill flour. Many have been restored and now serve as homes to locals or storage for Mykonos heritage documents.
Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed. Tell us where you want us to show next!

PAROS (source Wikipedia):
Paros (Πάρος) is a Greek island in the central Aegean Sea. One of the Cyclades island group, it lies to the west of Naxos, from which it is separated by a channel about 8 kilometres (5 miles) wide. It lies approximately 150 km (93 miles) south-east of Piraeus. The Municipality of Paros includes numerous uninhabited offshore islets totaling 196.308 square kilometres (75.795 sq mi) of land. Its nearest neighbor is the municipality of Antiparos, which lies to its southwest.
Historically, Paros was known for its fine white marble, which gave rise to the term Parian to describe marble or china of similar qualities. Today, abandoned marble quarries and mines can be found on the island, but Paros is primarily known as a popular tourist spot.
MYKONOS (source Wikipedia):
Mykonos is a Greek island, part of the Cyclades, lying between Tinos, Syros, Paros and Naxos. The island spans an area of 85.5 square kilometres (33.0 sq mi) and rises to an elevation of 341 metres (1,119 feet) at its highest point. There are 10,134 inhabitants (2011 census), most of whom live in the largest town, Mykonos, which lies on the west coast. The town is also known as Chora (i.e. the Town in Greek, following the common practice in Greece when the name of the island itself is the same as the name of the principal town).
Mykonos's nickname is The island of the winds. Tourism is a major industry and Mykonos is well known for its vibrant nightlife and for being a gay-friendly destination with many establishments catering for the LGBT community.
Mykonos beach guide - 22 Mykonos beaches Mykonos, Greece
Mykonos beaches are famous all over the world for their golden sand and the crystal waters. As this is among the most popular tourist destinations in Greece, most Mykonos beaches are organized with many tourist facilities, from seaside accommodation to beach bars, restaurants and water sports centers. The best organized beaches in Mykonos are found on the southern coast, which get extremely overcrowded during peak season. Paradise Beach and Super Paradise Beach are famous as the best party beaches in Greece. Beaches on the northern coast of the island are less organized and ideal to enjoy some calm moments. Nudism is frequently practised there. Source: greeka.com
