Ciao Viaggiatori!

Travel to MYKONOS Island - The Enchanting Greece | Episode 1
Mykonos is famed as a cosmopolitan destination amongst the Greek islands and widely recognised as one of the great travel meccas. It is one of the most touristed islands in the Aegean. This means that visitors should be prepared for loud dance clubs on parts of the island, an option to have 'English' breakfasts that could consist of an egg, some bacon and a few rolls with butter, and some over-priced merchandise.
I stared off from taking a Jet from Piraeus Port in Athens Greece early in the morning at around 7:30. It is the first Jet which leaves from the port to Mykonos. It stops inbetween two other islands, Tinos and Syros, both are equally beautiful islands but a bit populated not so touristy. I took a hotel next to the Port to avoid any delay in reaching the port so I just had to walked down and take the Jet. I travelling by Blue Star Ferries, which was on time and very much punctual. The experience in the Jet was amazing as I could see the blue water passing by and the early morning sun just about to out shine. On and off you could view few islands on the way but its worth the sight. The cold breeze and the smell of sea was mesmerizing indeed. It had multiple eating options and lounging area. It took nearly 5-6 Hrs for us to reach the port of Mykonos. I took a taxi, which is easily available right outside and you would spot them as soon you get down of the Jet. They have fixed rate of 15-17 Euros which takes you directly to the Hotel.
While I checked in, the property was extremely nice and the view from my room and the resort was outstanding. The could feel the real greek essence all around the moment I stepped in. The Cobbled floor and the White washed walls and blue and Green doors and windows . I took a swim too and it was very much needed after that long journey from Athens, though it was not tiring at all, but seeing the beautiful scenic place and the pool I could not resist, as I am always a Water Baby. I took a nap for sometime to gear up for the day and show you around. I had some food at the hotel (very basic) as I was starving after that swim and long journey. But now it was time I venture out the place. I took at Car for the convenience of moving around and also to venture the places more locally and closely. I started off from the Hotel and stopped by a beautiful place to enjoy the beauty of Nature, the Hills and sea waves hitting the shore. I moved ahead to Place called the Paradises Beach, which is knows for its best Parties and amazing Shacks. Though I was a bit early but I the place and the vibes was extremely positive and outstanding. I have decided to come back again atleast to witness this experience when in full swing.
I entered through the Paradise Beach Resort to the Island and there I was to an awesome place. It was indeed a visual pleasure atleast for person like me who enjoys partying and nightlife.
The Next pit stop was to quench myself with some pure Greek food in the island of Mykonos. So I headed for Tasos Taverna. Before I reached I did stopped by to a place to grab some Coke and Beer from Deillas. But the most amazing part was to drive around the street of Mukonos, it was a different experience which I would cherish throughout, ofcourse thanks to my Google Map which was an impromptu assistance, however he did gave up sometimes. So I headed for Tasos Taverna @ Paraga Beach. It has got plenty of parking space but actually you wont be able to figure out the entrance till you notice their sign board, The entrance looks very tiny and not so welcomed, but the moment I entered I was taken a back by the surprise to the see the beauty of the place and the crowd inside. This was amazing. It had a private beach with clear water and a superb dining option with the best of sea food , wine, beer and good looking people all around. My appetite for food doubled so we ordered plenty. It was truly a great place which is not worth missing. But It should be visited best before sun set to enjoy the place. I after that headed to the city to explore the city of Mykonos which would be covered in my next vlog coming soon.
Overall…..This was an amazing experience and I am thrilled to share my experience and whats coming up next.

GREECE: Island of MYKONOS, EXPLORING rarely visited BRONZE AGE FORT (1,000BC)
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go to the cosmopolitan (and very famous) Greek island of Mykonos and let's visit Gyzi Castle (or, Paleokastro, the 'old castle') which lies on a hill above the village of Ano Mera, in the centre of Mykonos island. The older castle, built on top of a hill dates from around 1,000BC and it is the subject of this video. It was built to protect the island from pirates and enemy attacks and it was the site of ancient Mykonos! The newer, Gyzi castle, dates from the 13th century and only some ruins of it remain today (this will be the subject a different video). It was built during the rule of the Gyzi family, a noble Venetian family that was ruling the Cyclades in the Medieval times.
From Paleokastro, one can get awesome view towards the northern side of the island.
