The Pelagonia Statistical Region is one of eight statistical regions of the Republic of Macedonia. It is located in southwestern part of the country along the eponymous plain. It borders Greece and Albania. Internally, it borders the Southwestern and Vardar statistical regions.

  • 2. Mound to the Unbeaten Prilep
    Mound of the Unbeaten is a World War II memorial in the Park of the Revolution, Prilep, Republic of Macedonia. The monument and memorial complex were built in 1961 in honor to the martyrs and fallen fighters of the People's Liberation Struggle in Macedonia. Author of the memorial complex is Serbian architect Bogdan Bogdanović. The complex consists of memorial Urns and the common graves of fallen soldiers. Urns are constructed from marble, and reminiscent of the antique urns. Biggest urn in complex has the symbol of the eternal flame at the top, which is symbol of Macedonian people's struggle for freedom.   • 4. Philip II of Macedonia Statue Bitola
    The Philip II Statue, officially The Founder of Heraclea Statue , is a large statue of the king Philip of Macedonia in the centre of the Macedonian city of Bitola, in Magnolia Square. Philip II was the founder of the ancient Macedonian city of Heraclea which was the forerunner of the present-day City of Bitola. The monument is 8.5 metres tall with Philip II perched on a horse. It is the work of sculptor Angel Korunovski. In the immediate vicinity of the memorial is a fountain which teams in the evening with synchronized music and light effects. The whole complex of the monument and fountain covers an area of the 600 square meter town square of Magnolia.

    The Lordship of Prilep, also known as the Lordship of King Marko , was one of the provinces of the Serbian Empire, centered around the city of Prilep and covering the region of Pelagonia and surrounding areas in western parts of the present-day Republic of Macedonia. In the middle of 14th century, the region was held by lord Vukašin Mrnjavčević, who in 1365 became Serbian king and co-ruler of Serbian emperor Stefan Uroš V . After king Vukašin died at the Battle of Maritsa in 1371, the realm was obtained by his son and designated successor Marko Mrnjavčević, who took the title of Serbian king. At that time, capital cities of the Serbian realm were Skopje and Prizren, but during the following years king Marko lost effective control over those regions, and moved his residence to Prilep...

  • 8. Makedonium monument Krusevo
    Ilinden, also known as Makedonium , is a monument in Kruševo, Republic of Macedonia. It was officially opened on August 2 of 1974, on the 30th anniversary of the Second Session of the Anti-fascist Assembly for the National Liberation of Macedonia and the 71st anniversary of Ilinden uprising. The designers of the monument are Jordan Grabuloski and Iskra Grabuloska. It is dedicated to all the fighters and revolutionaries who participated in the Ilinden uprising of 1903, as well as soldiers-partisans of the Macedonia National Liberation Struggle 1941-1944.
