POZUZO es una localidad de la Provincia de Oxapampa, Departamento de Pasco. Capital del Distrito de Pozuzo.
Pozuzo fue la primera colonia de su tipo fundada en 1859, 4 años después que el gobierno peruano les otorgara las tierras. A 84 km al norte de la ciudad de Oxapampa y a 360 km de Cerro de Pasco. Los inmigrantes levantaron la ciudad siguiendo los patrones arquitectónicos de sus países originales, por lo que las casas están formadas por plantas geométricas, pisos de madera y techos a dos aguas. Por otro lado, Oxapampa fue fundada en 1891 por un colono hijo de padres alemanes y austríacos.

The currency of Peru is the nuevo sol but is shortened just to sol or soles for day-to-day conversations. You can use U.S. dollars at many of the largest shops, but you're probably not going to obtain a very good conversion rate in the process as is common in many other countries.

Cusco -- die alte Königsstadt und Hauptstadt der Inkas.
Cusco liegt in den Anden auf 3400 Meter Höhe. Umgeben von herrlicher Landschaft.
Eine Mixtur aus Touristen, Einheimischen, Hippies, engen Gassen, Kneipen, Restaurants, Hotels, Pensionen, Souvenirläden und sehr interessanter Architektur. Reichtum -- und bittere Armut!
Hier über 3000 Meter wächst der beste Mais, leckere Kartoffel und Weizen. In Peru gibt es über 4000 verschiedene Kartoffelsorten.
Unser einfaches Hotel, sehr sauber, mit reichlichem Frühstück. Die Besitzer und das Personal sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit.
In der meist barocken Altstadt ist noch in vielem von der historischen Bausubstanz erhalten. Viele Grundmauern sind noch von den Inkas, auf denen die barocken Häuser gebaut wurden. Viele Inka - Tempel wurden von den Conquistadores, den Besatzern, Unterdrückern und Mördern der Inkas zerstört. Und auf den Grundmauern die Häuser und christlichen Kirchen errichtet.
Die Inka - Ruinen der Dörfer, die Wohnhäuser sind eher mit einfachem Mauerwerk.
Aber die Tempel und monumentalen Bauten! Jetzt soll mir kein Archäologe irgendwelche Scheiße erzählen. Ich bin mir sicher, diese können niemals von den Inkas errichtet worden sein. Sicherlich von einer eine früheren, unbekannten, hoch technisierten Kultur! Vielleicht mit Hilfe von E.T.! ;-)

Cusco is located in the Andes at 3400 meters altitude. Surrounded by beautiful countryside.
A mix of tourists, locals, hippies, narrow streets, pubs, restaurants, hotels, guesthouses, souvenir shops and very interesting architecture. Wealth - and abject poverty!
Here over 3000 meters grows the best corn, delicious potato and wheat. In Peru, there are over 4,000 different varieties of potatoes.
Our simple hotel, very clean, with ample breakfast. The owners and staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful.
The most baroque old town is still preserved in many of the historic structure. Many foundations are still of the Incas, where the baroque houses were built. Many Inca - Temple were destroyed by the Conquistadors, the occupiers , oppressors and murderers of the Incas. And on the foundations built the homes and Christian churches.
The Inca - ruins of villages, the houses are rather ordinary masonry.
But the temples and monumental buildings! No archaeologist should tell to me any shit now. I 'm sure, this can never have been built by the Incas. Certainly from a previous one, unknown, highly technical culture! Perhaps with the help of E.T. !

Sin dudas es uno de mis lugares favoritos en el mundo. Tuve la suerte de visitarla 3 veces y siempre, siempre me impactó. Esta vez fui con la gran Zsa Zsa Frayssinet para buscar la mejor manera de llegar. Si bien no es un paseo económico, creo que vale cada centavo invertido. Ojalá todos algún día puedan ir.
