Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” and taking more trips together and finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and travel hacking over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this YouTube channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling. So we extended our 1 year trip to THREE years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before Nate turns 30 (which is March 20, 2019)! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Arenal, Costa Rica; Must See! Nayara Springs Resort
For ultra-luxury, I highly recommend Nayara resort for families and Nayara Springs for Adults only. I chose the springs because I love the adult’s only atmosphere. They are located in the Arenal National Park, a 3 hour drive from the San Jose Airport and aprox 12 minutes from the town of La Fortuna.
They have won many awards, They Nayara Springs is ranked #1 luxury hotel by trip advisor and Nayara is ranked number 2 as well as the most romantic resort in the world. Travel and leisure as well as Conde Nast voted them number 1 in central America and South America, and Conde Nast put them in the top 50 in the world. And believe me I was not disappointed!
One of the things I love is they don’t nickel and dime you to death like a lot of other resorts do and that includes no resort fee!
No charge for parking
They offer complimentary wifi
As well as a personal host
They are a small boutique resort offering spectacular villas in the midst of tropical rain forest.
Even the mini bar is included, wine and liquor is additional
Free movies and free international phone calls
All villas offer their own private plunge pools which are fed by the mineral laden hot springs
They have 3 of the best restaurants in the area. First Mis Amores a Latin Bistro with spectacular views of the volcano. Amor Loco offers the best food in the area and I love the colors! Altamira, offers open air dining. Offering a fabulous buffet breakfast, complimentary for all guests and Asia Luna offering both Asian and Peruvian food. Both tables and chairs are hand painted by a local tribe, it’s amazing.
A piano lounge and bar and what better way to start your day than stopping at the Expresso bar for some of the best Costa Rican coffee you have ever had!
Besides having your own plunge pool, if you care to venture out of your room, they also offer 2 large pools with a swim up bar as well as a lap pool
Their award winning spa was voted number 1 in the world by Conde Nast
A state of the art fitness center, make sure to take advantage of their daily yoga classes.
Or join one of their guided walks.
