The province of Chieti is a province in the Abruzzo region of Italy. Its provincial capital is the city Chieti, which has a population of 50,770 inhabitants. The province has a total population of 387,649 inhabitants as of 2017 and spans an area of 2,599.58 square kilometres . It is divided into 104 comuni and the provincial president is Mario Pupillo.Chieti's cathedral was first constructed during the 9th century but was reconstructed during the 13th century. The province contains the Museo Nazionale di Antichità , which contains items from the area prior to Roman rule.

    Sangro River War Cemetery is a British and Commonwealth war cemetery sited by a hillside near Torino di Sangro in the Province of Chieti, Italy. In this cemetery are buried 2,542 soldiers from the United Kingdom and the British Commonwealth who died in World War II defending the shoreline near the Sangro River against the retreating German soldiers on the Winter Line. Within the cemetery is the Sangro River Cremation Memorial, which commemorates 517 Indian soldiers cremated in accordance with their faith.The marble gravestones are arranged in such a way as to form a kind of amphitheatre. A path follows a row of magnolias to the Croce del Sacrificio . Another path follows a hawthorn hedge to the Porta della Rimembranza .
