Punalur is a Municipality and a bussiness center in Kollam District, in the Indian State of Kerala. It's also the headquarters of Punalur Taluk and Punalur Revenue Division. It's situated near the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border in the Kollam district of the southern Indian state of Kerala, on the banks of the Kallada River. It is about 45 kilometres north-east of Kollam and 75 kilometres north of Thiruvananthapuram.     Srivilliputhur Andal temple in Srivilliputhur, a town in Virudhunagar district in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. It is located 80 km from Madurai. Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is glorified in the Divya Prabandha, the early medieval Tamil canon of the Azhwar saints from the 6th–9th centuries AD.
