Life in Iqaluit Nunavut
Our very last stop on our social media powered exploration of Canada and the United States took us to the remote northern territory of Nunavut in Canada. The very new territory is little known by most North Americans, so we set out to explore and share our findings for your behalf. Watch as we walk around the city of Iqaluit (Nunavut's capital city) and discover all sorts of interesting and sometimes quirky things.
Welcome To Nunavut
Get a feel for the activities and beautiful landscapes you can experience on a once in a lifetime adventure when you visit Nunavut.
Baker Lake, Nunavut, Canada Tour - Mark Erney Trip To Gold Mining Camp Satellite Dish
Best pictures from a trip to a remote arctic gold mining camp near Baker Lake, Nunavut, Canada in a 5 minute video slideshow presentation. Photographed by satellite dish technician Mark Erney while providing technical support to the mine camp in May 2010. Starts with a couple of photos showing the road leaving the arctic mining camp and driving to Baker Lake. Then shows some beautiful pictures from a short walk around town. Ends with images of the drive back to the mining camp where we saw carabou herds near the road. I really fell in love with the arctic on my trips there. The Inuit natives and everybody else I met there were so nice and friendly. I hope to go there as often as possible. Anybody in the arctic who needs a satellite earth station technician or vsat dish specialist, please contact me. I'm willing and ready to go on short notice, and I carry the proper gear. Hope you enjoy the photos. My favorite of all of them is the arctic bunny that just sat there and posed for me. It's weird, but I feel that animals can sense I mean them no harm. I love animals and love seeing wildlife free in their natural inviroment. Narrative captions by Mark Erney. Music by Kevin Macleod. Please visit my web site for more information and resources.
Nunavut 2014 (Pt. 11) - Bucket List Dream Come True
November 20, 2014 - I've had a bucket list of travel destinations for some time, and on this today, I crossed off what I considered to be the toughest things to accomplish: travel to Nunavut. Being the most remote part of Canada, only a lot of money and a darn good reason would get me here. Once Sophie took a job up here in Rankin Inlet for a few months, that was enough reason to go.
The free room/board while up there was nice, too. Welcome to The Nu!
I was even more officially welcomed later that night when the Aurora Borealis showed up for the first time.
Nunavut Grocery Prices = Insane!!!!
A humourous look at the exorbitant prices people pay for groceries in Canada's high arctic.

Yukon To Vancouver Travel - Satellite Dish Technician Mark Erney - British Columbia & YT
My best 10 minutes of video clips flying over the mountains from a remote mining camp in the Yukon Territory to Smithers, Whitehorse YT and then to Vancouver, BC, Canada. Recorded by satellite dish technician Mark Erney while providing technical support to the camp. Beautiful scenery flying very close to the mountain peaks with captions by Mark Erney. Really gives you a good feel of what it's like flying on charter flights to or from remote sites in the Yukon Territory. If your considering travel to Canada, make sure to visit the Yukon Territory. People in Canada and the Northern Territories are really friendly and intelligent. I guarantee you will love it. Canada is a very cool place to visit! Please give me a thumbs up if you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching. Please visit my web site at for more information and resources.

Other beaches are not recommended for swimming, yet all of them are the realm where many love stories have been and will continue to be written. In addition to the Pacific coast, we enjoy the caribbean coast which is devided into the North and the South Caribbean for they are very different form eachother. It is very possible that our entire Caribbean Coast does not look like what you have in mind when you think of the Caribbean. Please talk to us at regarding which of the almost 500 beaches are more suitable for you and how they fit into the nuts and bolts of your Adventure of a lifetime in Costa Rica and at the right price for you. At Tachiz Travel Costa Rica we think that, for the time being, what our enchanting south Caribbean needs, is more visitors, discerning vistors that is, for it is not for everybody.
