The Ferry Boat Inn

Ringaskiddy is a village in County Cork, Ireland. It is located on the western side of Cork Harbour, south of Cobh, and is 15 kilometres from Cork city, to which it is connected by the N28 road. The village is a port with passenger ferry services to France. A ferry service to Swansea in Wales closed in 2012.During the 20th century, Ringaskiddy changed from a fishing village to a centre of transport and industrial activity. It is now one of the largest employment hubs in County Cork. The village is close to a number of tourist areas, including Crosshaven, Currabinny and Monkstown.

Finally I token the ferry from Roscoff, France to Rosslare, Ireland

Important: This is not super adventure or high quality travel video with incredible footage or some action scenes. This is real story, real trip. The idea behind is to see how one motorcycle trip is going and to show you some interesting places around the world. I also shared some of my thoughts and advice with the idea to help others to make their trips more easier than me.

The trip was 15 days and visited the territories of Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, Ireland, Scotland, England and came back to Germany. I spent a little above 7,000km and except one small accident the trip went trouble free. I saw so many amazing places and met so many great and friendly people. It was one super nice trip and I will do it again with pleasure.

Cruise Liners in Cork Harbour

Cork Harbour on the south east coast of Ireland is the 2nd. largest natural harbour in the world after Sydney, Australia. The historic town of Cobh sits in the harbour and is the terminal for the many cruise liners that visit every year. The Independence Of The Seas, The Balmoral, The World, Marco Polo, Queen Mary 2 are just a few of the liners that visit. Cobh has always been a liner town. In the days before mass air travel, all the famous liners called into Cobh as the last port of call on their way from Europe to the USA. In 1912, Cobh, formerly called Queenstown, was the last port of call for The Titanic. In this piece, we see a few of these liners who currently visit Cobh.

The 2009 Celebrity Constellation's Transatlantic cruise made a second stop in Ireland - at the port of Dublin. From there we visited Malahide Castle and Gibney's pub for a nice Irish coffee.
