Aix-en-Provence & Marseilles: We visit the Old Town pedestrian zone (Le Vieil Aix), the outdoor produce market, Cours Mirabeau; La Rotonde, Place des Cardeurs, Rue Gaston de Saporta, Cathédrale St-Sauveur, Mazarin district. The French consider Aix to be their favorite town. Then we continue with a quick look at Marseilles on the southern coast in Provence.

Hace tan solo unos días que he vuelto de París y tengo que decir que aún estoy flipando del encanto y preciosidad que tiene esta ciudad, una de las más bonitas que he visto nunca, si no es la que más (aunque tampoco conozco mucho el mapamundi, todo hay que decirlo).
Para que os hagáis una idea de lo que da tiempo a ver y lo grande que es, mi viaje fue de tres días completos añadiendo la noche de llegada y la salida a primera hora de la mañana del quinto día.

The SNCF Class CC 72100 is a class of C-C diesel locomotives rebuilt from CC 72000 locomotives during 2002--2004. 30 locomotives were converted: 21, 30, 37--41, 43, 45, 47, 48, 51, 56--60, 63, 66, 68, 72, 75--80, 82, 86, 89--90. They find use on the Paris - Belfort line and are based at Chalindrey.

Troyes is a commune and the capital of the Aube department in north-central France. It is located on the Seine river about 150 km (93 mi) southeast of Paris. This area is known as the Champagne region of Northern France. Many half-timbered houses (mainly of the 16th century) survive in the old town. Troyes has been in existence since the Roman era, as Augustobona Tricassium, which stood at the hub of numerous highways, primarily the Via Agrippa.
Troyes is home to the Lacoste company production headquarters, one of the most popular fashion brands in the Western World. It is also home of prize-winning chocolatier Pascal Caffet.
The train station Gare de Troyes offers connections to Paris, Dijon, Mulhouse and several regional destinations. Troyes is at the junction of the motorways A5 (Paris – Troyes – Langres) and A26 (Calais – Reims – Troyes). Troyes – Barberey Airport is a small regional airport.
Troyes is the home of association football club Troyes AC, or ESTAC. ESTAC now plays in Ligue 2, the second highest division of French football, having played in Ligue 1 as recently as 2013.

Aube is a French department in the Champagne-Ardennes region of north-eastern France named after the Aube River. In 1995, its population was 293,100 inhabitants.
The inhabitants of the department are known as Aubois or Auboises.
With 303,298 inhabitants according to the census of 2009, Aube is 75th in terms of population at the national level and the 2nd largest on the regional level.
The department was constituted as it is today by a decree of the National Assembly of 15 January 1790. As with sixty departments in France, it is named after the name of a river.

Les BB 67000 sont des locomotives diesel de la SNCF. Elles ont été commandées le 22 décembre 1960, et la première a été mise en service le 10 août 1963 au dépôt de Chambéry.
Les BB 67000 sont des locomotives diesel-électrique de ligne, mixtes voyageurs et marchandises.
Les premières séries sont fabriquées par Brissonneau et Lotz à Aytré,en Charente Maritime.
En 1963, livraison de la BB 67001 au dépôt de Chambéry, première de la série BB 67001 à BB 67040. Puis suivirent les BB 67041 à 124, fruits d'une seconde commande. Toutes ces locomotives sont aptes à circuler en unités multiples (UM) avec les véhicules de la même série.
Après une première partie de carrière, et bien qu'une partie de la série ait été radiée, le gros des troupes ont été transformées : d'abord 20 machines en BB 67300, puis 75 autres en BB 67200. Les 5 dernières sont transformées en BB 67200 pour la LGV Est européenne.
