Puebla City, Mexico is unique in many ways, but one of which is that there are quite a few Pueblos Magicos extremely close to the city. While we travel Mexico, it is our goal to see as many magic towns aka, Pueblos Magicos, as possible. What is a Pueblo Magico? It is one of 121 towns within Mexico that offer tourists a special experience related to food, culture, history, events, or another notable characteristic that sets it apart from other places in Mexico.
In this Mexico travel vlog, we are exploring two Pueblos Mágicos: Atlixco, Puebla and Cholula, Puebla. When we arrive in Atlixco, we quickly find out that there is a festival of lights going on: Festival de la Iluminación. For a few weeks a year, Atlixco comes alive with string lights, carnival rides, ice skating, vendors, and much more for locals and tourists alike to enjoy during the Christmas season.
In Cholula, we start out by climbing the largest (by volume) pyramid in the world with a fantastic cathedral on top. At the top, we soak in a 360-degree bird’s eye view of Puebla City, Mexico. If you come during the right time, you can usually see the great volcano, Popocatépetl. Later, we hit the streets of Cholula to look into the local shops, see the colorful buildings, and relax in the plaza/zocalo of Cholula with a drink.
Which Pueblo Mágico do you think is the best of these two?

San Pedro Cholula | Central Square | English | Subtitles | Puebla | Canadian in Mexico
San Pedro Cholula is part of the bigger city of Cholula. Cholula is located in Puebla, Mexico. It is located just to the east of Mexico City.
In this vlog we are visiting the central square. Cholula is best known for the Great Pyramid of Cholula.
Pictured in the main square is the Parroquia de San Pedro Cholula. You can see the damage caused to this church by the earthquake, as well as some of the other buildings in the area.
We are walking by parks, and play grounds. This is a beautiful spot to spend the afternoon, or morning in our case. It is close to the Pyramid, so it makes for a great stop along the way!
This video is in English, but has subtitles. It was English Subtitles, French Subtitles, and Spanish Subtitles.

Describe Mexico in FIVE Words
Artisans & Authentic Crafts in the State of Mexico
If you're looking for art, there's more to the State of Mexico than Aztec architecture. The state is full of traditional handicrafts, and some are as old as the pyramids. It's one thing to go to a local market and bring home a souvenir, but it's another to learn about the process behind it. In the State of Mexico, many local artisans will not only show you their work, but they will give you a hands-on experience you'll never forget.
