Scenic Views: Ullswater, Lake District, Cumbria
There are many beautiful drives in the Lake District National Park in the North West of England. This is a view of Ullswater from a lay-by on the A592.
The drive along the A592 is also very pretty, but not one you really want to try in winter if there is ice or snow about. There is easy access to the Lake District via the M6 motorway - typically junctions 36 to 40.

Howtown walk - James, Kathleen and Dennis June 2010
Ulswater Lake 23/06/2010 . The boat to Howtown from Glenridding, and walk back on the 7 mile path along the shore. Eventually turned out, hot and sunny. I promised to show J & K one of the best walks in the lakes when I visited them on their holiday. They were not disappointed.
