Banarasi sarees: famous worldwide for their intricate work and design
Banarasi saris are saris made in Varanasi, a city which is also called Benares. These saris are historically considered to be among the finest saris in India and are known for their gold and silver brocade or zari, fine silk and opulent embroidery, and being highly sought after. These saris are made of finely woven silk and are decorated with intricate design, and because of these engravings, these saris are relatively heavy. Their special characteristics are Mughal inspired designs such as intricate intertwining floral and foliate motifs, kalga and bel, a string of upright leaves called jhallar at the outer, edge of border is a characteristic of these sarees. Other distinctive features are Heavy gold work, Compact weaving, figures with small details, metallic visual effects, pallus, jal and mina work. These saris are an inevitable part of any Indian bride's trousseau.
Depending upon the intricacy of designs and patterns, a sari can take anywhere from 15 days to a one month and sometimes up to six months to complete. Banarasi saris are mostly worn by Indian women on important occasions such as when attending a wedding and are expected to be complemented by the woman's best jewelry. Today there are four main varieties of Banarasi sari, which includes pure silk (Katan), Organza (Kora) with Zari and silk; Georgette, and Shattir, and according to design process, they are divided into categories like, Jangla, Tanchoi, Vaskat, Cutwork, Tissue and Butidar.
Over the years, the Banarasi Silk handloom industry has been incurring huge losses because of the unfair competition from mechanised units producing the 'Baranasi silk sarees' at a much faster rate and at much cheaper cost, another source of competition has been sarees made of cheaper synthetic alternatives to silk. In 2009, after two years of wait, weaver associations in Uttar Pradesh, secured Geographical Indication (GI) rights for the 'Banaras Brocades and Sarees'. GI is an intellectual property right, which identifies a good as originating in a certain region where a given quality, reputation or other characteristic of the product is essentially attributable to its geographical origin.
Varanasi also commonly known as Benares or Benaras and Kashi, is a city situated on the banks of the River Ganges in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, 320 kilometres (199 mi) southeast of state capital Lucknow. It is regarded as a holy city by Hindus, Buddhists and Jains. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and the oldest in India.

Family at garbage in Moscow, Russia, 2013
A local man with a wife trying to find something useful or needful at garbage in Moscow (Russia). They going to garbages at later evening specially for conceal their poverty! They have a very bad life but they hide it by darkness, by their cultural coats, by feign and etc. It's style of life of most peoples in Russia! It helps fascism rulers to conceal a very bad, poor and pervert life of most people there.
The family saw me near and they afraid that other person see their real bad life. So, they stop their search and they hide from me behind garbage but, pay in attention, they do it slowly as nothing happen. So, all their life is like pervert theater of false now when poor weak people feign that all is ok with they.
It is an example of a slavery mentality when oppressed slavers have a very bad life but every of they feign personal success and satisfaction. It is the mentality of the oppressed slavery society in Russia now. The same situation in Belarus and may in North Korea also. May it was in slavery empires in past too.
I record it secretly. Sorry for low quality. This video was enhanced by Google's tools after uploading.
I want to mention, that there's few people going to garbages at day time but there is large numbers of people going to garbages at dark time (at evenings and at nights) in Moscow.
It is possible to find a some food and other needful things at this garbage because it situated in area, where many mafia's employees living in flats (simple apartments) around: they can buy food and other needful things abroad, moreover they allowed not only to eat in security guarded mafia food suppliers in Moscow but they allowed to steal food from there to home also, later mafia's employeers move unwanted stolen food to garbage and it is possible to find there.
Indian hijra injects insulin into her mother's thigh
Indian hijra or kinnar injects insulin into her sick mother's thigh.
In India, there are up to 1.2 million transgender people, also known as hijras. Earlier this year, the country's first transgender mayor was elected and less than 12 months ago the Supreme Court granted legal recognition to the community as a third gender.
To an outsider, it might be assumed that these hijras - described as 'men minus maleness' - are able to lead peaceful lives without fear of discrimination, but this could not be further from the truth for some.
Hijras live together in houses where a chief or godmother acts as leader. They refer to each other as mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers and great-grandmothers. They have maintained a traditional Indian style, in contrast to many middle and upper class women who have cut their hair and wear western clothing.
Many are encouraged to become prostitutes due to the financial benefits as well as beg in return for blessings.
