Inspired by the work of Lord Baden-Powell, founder of Boy Scouts, Juliette Low joined the Girl Guide movement in England, forming a group of Girl Guides in Great Britain in 1911. In 1912 she returned to the United States, and established the first U.S. Girl Guide troop in Savannah, Georgia, that year. In 1915, the United States' Girl Guides became known as the Girl Scouts, and Juliette Gordon Low was the first president. She stayed active until the time of her death. Her birthday, October 31, is commemorated by the Girl Scouts as Founder's Day.

Savannah is my favorite place to visit in Georgia. The town is filled with great people, great food and great history. It would have been easier to make a list about reasons to move to Savannah but sadly people don't watch positive videos. I probably will anyway in the near future. This city deserves it.
