Serravalle di Chienti is a comune in the Province of Macerata in the Italian region Marche, located about 80 kilometres southwest of Ancona and about 50 kilometres southwest of Macerata. It is crossed by the Chienti river. The communal territory is largely mountainous with numerous woods and pastures. Serravalle di Chienti borders the following municipalities: Camerino, Fiuminata, Foligno, Monte Cavallo, Muccia, Nocera Umbra, Pieve Torina, Sefro, Visso.

1. Lago di Bolsena Bolsena
Lake Bolsena of central Italy, is a lake of volcanic and tectonic origin. Roman historic records indicate activity of the Vulsini volcano occurred as recently as 104 BC; it has been dormant since then. The two islands in the southern part of the lake were formed by underwater eruptions following the collapse that created the depression. The lake is supplied entirely from the aquifer, rainfall and runoff, with one outlet at the southern end. A sewage treatment plant filters most of the raw sewage from the surrounding communities. Constructed in 1996, it features pipelines transporting the sewage from every major community around the lake to the treatment plant on the Marta River; that is, no effluents enter the lake. Il Monte Pennino è una montagna che raggiunge i 1.571 m s.l.m. situata nei comuni di Serravalle di Chienti e di Fiuminata al confine delle regioni Marche ed Umbria, nella Provincia di Perugia e nella Provincia di Macerata. Alle sue pendici nascono i fiumi Topino e Potenza. Un percorso a.r. sullo stesso sentiero con un dislivello di circa 500 metri, fino ad un rifugio dove
potremo degustare un buon caffè.
Chi fa il percorso più breve potrà tornare nel primo pomeriggio alla propria auto, chi sceglie il
percorso più lungo dovrà percorrere altri 2,5 km con un dislivello totale di 700m circa. Monte Pennino is a mountain that reaches 1,571 m s.l.m.
