BLOG POST:
This video is worth watching just to see how ridiculous I look with this massive scrape on my face! Got through about by a wave in El Tunco, as I was hanging out at the beach and trying to catch some waves. Got thrown by the big evening waves, and broke my face on the El Tunco beach, with my face. Cleaned it up and the next day we headed to a town just north of El Tunco, know as Tamanique to go see some beautiful waterfalls. Being that El Tunco, and the El Salvador coast is pretty spread out, and El Tunco is so small, it was an interesting, peaceful drive up the hill away from El Tunco towards the town of Tamanique. Weaving through the jungle and small houses on the side of the road we pulled into the small town of Tamanique, about 30 minutes from El Tunco.
Arriving in El Tunco:
From our El Tunco hostel, Papaya's, the night guard was our tour guide and lead us from the parking spot, with a kid who followed us shooting rocks from his slingshot, along the old farming road, towards the path that led down to the beautiful waterfalls. The water moves its way through the cracks in the rock it has made from millions of years of rolling over the same areas and you can enter under the beautiful waterfalls by a waterslide made by nature. The stream trickles down the rock, and has made it extremely smooth, smooth enough to sit down and slide into the pools under the waterfalls.
We jumped into some of the waterfall pools and clambered our way down the hill to the final beautiful waterfall. A gorgeous day in the jungle of El Salvador, enjoying some beautiful waterfalls, and then back to El Tunco.
More description of these beautiful waterfalls near El Tunco in El Salvador, in the Blog post higher up in the description.

Thank you to every country in Central America, every person I met in Central America, every hostel, every person who gave me CORRECT directions, every little corner restaurant where I crushed some rice and beans, and all the people who put up with my snoring in the dorms. Huge shout out to my two brothers from other mothers, Steve Didier and Winston, who started the trip with me, Girthy Wand and Purple Pole, just a couple lads I met in El Salvador, who became life long friends and travel partners. Matty Arnold, you shredder. My Vancouver girls. Sweden. Holiday Dog. Shannon, you creeping hard in the back of Cafe No Se you absolute beauty. Dan Pangman, for being a solid guy as always. Erich, the Utah Macklemore, Philip, and the Quebecois trio, WIlson from Hostel De Haan in Costa Rica, and all the people I have forgotten, I apologize, but you were in my mind when putting this together.
Thank you to Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama, you have been incredible hosts and I will be back shortly. Just a quick 6 months in Colombia first!
Huge Highlights in case you missed them were:

Travel El Salvador | SOLO FEMALE TRAVELER | Ep. 41 | El Zonte
After a crazy night out in Antigua, Guatemala, I continued backpacking through Central America. I took a shuttle from Antigua to El Zonte, El Salvador. The border crossing from Guatemala to El Salvador went smoothly. I arrived in a quiet beach town where the main things to do were relaxing in a hammock or surfing. Although I was traveling alone as a woman in El Salvador, I didn't feel unsafe.
