2 Weeks in Paradise: Tahiti, Bora Bora and Moorea in 4K
We had an amazing 2 weeks during our vacation / honeymoon in French Polynesia: we went to Tahiti, Bora Bora, and Moorea. This paradise had some of the best snorkeling we've ever experienced; this might be one of the best places in the world to snorkel. We saw so many varieties of fish, sharks, sting rays, octopuses, manta rays, moray eels, corals, and more. On land, the beaches and scenery were breathtaking. The islands were filled with beautiful sandy beaches everywhere. The jungle was also so lush, and did not have dangerous animals. And the over water bungalows at the hotels were amazing!

Tahiti
Queen of the Pacific
The heart and soul of the South Pacific, Tahiti is the largest in a chain of islands that make up French Polynesia. The name can either refer to the main island or the entire destination. Commonly referred to as The Islands of Tahiti, French Polynesia is a collection of 118 islands and atolls scattered across an impressive nautical surface area the size of Western Europe. Still, these tiny islands—many of which remain uninhabited—make up a total landmass of only 1,600 square miles
Tahiti

Tahiti, Tetiaroa and Bora Bora
French Polynesia (French: Polynésie Française) is an overseas collectivity of the French Republic. It is composed of 118 geographically dispersed islands and atolls stretching over an expanse of more than 2,000 kilometres (1,200 mi) in the South Pacific Ocean. Its total land area is 4,167 square kilometres (1,609 sq mi).
French Polynesia is divided into five groups of islands: the Society Islands Archipelago, composed of the Windward Islands and the Leeward Islands; the Tuamotu Archipelago; the Gambier Islands; the Marquesas Islands; and the Austral Islands. Among its 118 islands and atolls, 67 are inhabited. Tahiti, which is located within the Society Islands, is the most populous island. Papeete is the seat of the capital of the collectivity. It has close to 69% of the population of the islands in 2017. Although not an integral part of its territory, Clipperton Island was administered from French Polynesia until 2007.
Following the Great Polynesian Migration, European explorers visited the islands of French Polynesia on several occasions. Traders and whaling ships also visited. In 1842, the French took over the islands and established a French protectorate they called Etablissements des français en Océanie (EFO) (French Establishments/Settlements in Oceania).
In 1946, the EFOs became an overseas territory under the constitution of the French Fourth Republic, and Polynesians were granted the right to vote through citizenship. In 1957, the EFOs were renamed French Polynesia. Since 28 March 2003, French Polynesia has been an overseas collectivity of the French Republic under the constitutional revision of article 74, and later gained, with law 2004-192 of 27 February 2004, an administrative autonomy, two symbolic manifestations of which are the title of the President of French Polynesia and its additional designation as an overseas country.

3 Weeks in French Polynesia (Moorea, Bora Bora, Rangiroa, Ra'iatea, Taha'a)
The complete video of our trip to French Polynesia in 2016, with all 4 individual parts of the trip edited together.
Part 1: After flying Tahiti, the island of Moorea was our first destination during our trip to French Polynesia in 2016. We stayed at the Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort and had a great time exploring the island with Albert Transport's 4WD Safari Tour.
Part 2: Our visit to Bora Bora! Bora Bora was the second stop during our 3-week trip to French Polynesia in 2016. We stayed in an overwater bungalow at Le Meridien Bora Bora and went on a few excursions, including: skydiving, swimming with whales and sharks, and snorkeling with stingrays.
Part 3: Our third stop was Rangiroa, where we stayed at Hotel Kia Ora Resort & Spa and Le Sauvage Private Island. Several miles away from the nearest road, no electricity, surrounded by bright, blue water. Definitely the most relaxing place and remote location we've ever been!
Part 4: Sailing on a catamaran between Bora Bora, Raiatea, and Taha'a during our final week. We sailed around the bright, blue waters of Bora Bora, saw a whale and dolphin, swam with stingrays, snorkeled the Coral Garden in Taha'a, toured a vanilla farm, visited a pearl farm, watched a traditional Polynesia dance show at Le Ficus, and enjoyed living on a boat for a week!
