So to our 1st destination is in “IGPASUNGAW FALLS”- located in Sebaste, Antique. It is just 3 kms. from the national highway, a 30 minute hike, at the bottom is a natural swimming pool, 8-10 m. in diameter and 2 m. deep. Igpasungaw Falls are considered as one of the major natural attraction in Sebaste. Then 2nd destination is in “BUGTONG BATO FALLS”- located in Tibiao, Antique, 6 kms. to Sitio Moleta accessible by motor vehicle up to Bgy. Tuno. Ideal for excursions or picnics with excellent opportunities for bathing, swimming and picture taking. First three waterfalls with height up to 150 ft. are accessible. TRY TO HIKE! The challenge in this falls is endurance, balance, determination, and teamwork. “KAWA HOT BATH”- has been the face of Antique tourism for so many years. Isla De Gigantes Islands Iloilo - Becoming Filipino
Today is the day we visit isla de gigantes, the most well known and popular islands in iloilo for filipinos to visit so we are becoming filipino.
Getting to isla de gigantes is pretty easy, from iloilo you ride a ceres bus to carles which will take around 3- 4 hours. From carles you can ride a tricycle for around 20 pesos to the pier to book your trip.
To get a private boat ranges in prices for different size boats, the cheapest 4/5 person boat is around 3500 pesos for the day.
Isla de gigantes has a huge reputation for being insanely beautiful and its true some of the islands are amazing. Its simply a must see place if you ever come to iloilo. Not so many tourists come here, i guess because its not as easy to reach. Which helps keep the beauty in the area.
Iloilo has some incredible places and island hopping trips to do, we feel like maybe it is a little overlooked by people who dont no just what beauty is here. Conception and carles have some amazing places and islands to see.
Slowly little by little we feel we are becoming Filipinos, doing things as Filipinos do. Hopefully 1 day in the future this will put us in a good situation to be able to stay here longer term and fit right into life in the Philippines.
