Vagli Sotto is a comune in the Province of Lucca in the Italian region of Tuscany, located about 90 kilometres northwest of Florence and about 35 kilometres northwest of Lucca. Sotto borders the following municipalities: Camporgiano, Careggine, Massa, Minucciano, Stazzema. The Lake of Vagli, created by a dam in 1947, and the abandoned village of Fabbriche di Careggina, are located nearby. The town contains the Romanesque church of San Regolo.

    Lago di Vagli is a lake in the Province of Lucca, Tuscany, Italy. It was created in 1953 after the construction of a dam. It houses a depopulated village, the Fabbriche di Careggine, which becomes reachable when the basin is emptied for maintenance. The population was transferred in new residences built in the nearby Vagli Sotto.

  • 4. Castello di Torrechiara Torrechiara
    Torrechiara is a frazione of the comune of Langhirano, in the province of Parma, northern Italy. It is especially known for its massive castle, built by Pier Maria II de' Rossi , count of San Secondo, between 1448 and 1460. The building was thought not only as a defensive structure, but also as mansion for the count's lover, Bianca Pellegrini, for which a famous hall, the Camera d'Oro was built with decorations by Benedetto Bembo, sibling of Bonifacio Bembo. Scenes of the 1985 film Ladyhawke were shot at the castle.
