Varberg Municipality is a municipality in Halland County, in southwest Sweden. Its seat is in Varberg. It was formed in 1971 through the amalgamation of the City of Varberg and the surrounding rural municipalities. There are 25 original local government entities included in the municipality. 5,000 people are commuting out from the municipality, mainly to Gothenburg and Falkenberg. 3,200 people are commuting into Falkenberg.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization World Heritage sites are places of importance to cultural or natural heritage as described in the UNESCO World Heritage Convention, established in 1972. The Kingdom of Sweden accepted the convention on 22 January 1985, making its historical sites eligible for inclusion on the list. As of 2016, there are fifteen World Heritage sites in Sweden, including thirteen cultural sites, one natural site and one mixed site.

29 mars 2015. Vi tar en kortare promenad vid fågelsjön Hårssjön (ca: 3 - 4 km). Vi fick inte se så mycket fåglar, men vi fick en avkopplande promenad.

Vi tar färjan till Kiel och fortsätter sedan till Normandie och det sagolika klostret Mont Saint Michel. Därefter väntar Omaha Beach och en omskakande vandring i spåren efter Andra Världskriget. Vi avslutar med ett bubblande besök i Frankrikes nordligaste och mest glamourösa vindistrikt -- Champagne.
