Calaguas is a common reference to a group of islands, northeast of Vinzons, Camarines Norte, Paracale and Daet towns in Camarines Norte in the Philippines. We stayed in Bagasbas Lighthouse Hotel and Resort which is along the current longest boulevard in the Philippines - the newly opened Cory Aquino Boulevard.
The hotel isn't connected to the beach, so you still have to cross the road. Beside the hotel are stores, inns, and other retail establishments that are easily accessible because of its walkable distance from the hotel.
Since it's my first time surfing, i don't know about the rates of other surfing places in the Philippines. But in Bagasbas, they offer a 1hr rent of surfboard + tutorial for P400. We were lucky enough to be instructed by Sir Bernie who is a Judge for the surfing competition that happend on the second day. (Wasn't able to record this part tho)
Aside from the beach in Bagasbas, we also went to Mampurog River in San Lorenzo. We paid a P50 parking fee and crossed the long bridge not knowing that there's a stair providing an easy access to the river without crossing the bridge. But for the sake of the experience, it's worth it.
Where to eat?
► Aurora's Cusine - try Bangus with butter (idk the name of the dish but it's like that)
► Mercedes Fish Port - at the side of the port, there's a 'karinderya' where you can grill your bought fish/seafood.
► Along Cory Aquino Boulevard - 'packed dinner + music + beer under the street lights and the bright moon' is a must do!!! we stayed there until 10pm!
We also went to St. John Parish upon arrival and to Daet Cathedral before heading home. Idk where we ate on our way home, I fell asleep so idk the place.
Bonus Activity!!!
BANTAYOG MUSIC FESTIVAL! This was one of the best things that happened in this trip. Our room has a view over the concert grounds beside the idle airport/runway in Bagasbas. We didn't know that Bantayog Festival is being celebrated in April 2 - May 6, 2019 or during this season. We were lucky to hear This Band and Parokya ni Edgar with a backstagepass-kuno.

The most Beautiful spot in the Philippines
Daet, Camarines Norte, Bicol, Luzon, Philippines has the first Monument of Rizal 2nd and 3rd of that is in Calamba city and Dapitan Mindanao. Rizal Doesn't live in this town but he built his first Monument also known as Bantayog. This town is also the 62th surfing spot in the world. That spot is in the Barangay of Bagasbas where the sunrise is also the most beautiful attraction there every morning. The crime rate is low averaging only 1 crime (like robbery, murder and fire) every 1 - 2 weeks. On February 23 2009 the curfew was in effect starting 10:00 Pm - 4:00 Am that makes the street there look parochial everynight. The present governor is Gov. Jesus Atoy Typoco and the town mayor is Mayor. Tito Sarion. Lions club and Daet on the Go keeps the streets clean and free from fraternities and gangs. Its Best Friend city is Naga which gave a Large fund subsidies and free water ration during Daet Dark Hours (Flash flood) which kills 8 people. Kapamilya foundation also help the town to move on. The height of this flood is from the waist line in average and in some place over the head (6 feet). But this dosen't cripple the tourism of the town. During night a search light is the most spectacular view of the skyline of Daet (can be seen as far as Talisay.
