It is the largest waterfall in the American Pacific Northwest by volume and the seventeenth widest in the world.[1] Horseshoe in shape, it is 1,500 feet (460 m) wide and 40 feet (12 m) high with a flow of 30,849 cu ft/s (874 m³/s), located 26 miles (42 km) upriver from the Willamette's mouth.

PORTLAND'S BEST KEPT SECRET! Crystal Springs Rhododendron Gardens.
Portland Oregon is one of the United States fastest growing cities, yet many new Oregonians, as well as many who have lived here there whole life still have no clue about this hidden gem.
Crystal Springs Rhododendron Gardens is a 10 acre garden located across the street from Reed College.
Portland's best kept secret has over 2,500 Rhododendrons, azaleas, and other plants.
The Gardens also have patches of shrubs, upland forest, marsh vegetation, and submerged logs.
Wild life, water fowl, and at least 94 species in the garden, including grebes, herons, ducks, Canada geese, wigeons, gulls, hummingbirds, and more.
The gardens are open from 6am to 10pm from April through September and from 6am through 6pm October through March.
Admission is only $5! and free Monday and Tuesdays, but I would check the website to make sure that hasn't changed.

December 2017 during our Billy Joel Trip. Heather always had wanted to stay here, so I made her dream come true. This was very nice, extremely comfortable and the desk person was extremely cordial towards us.
We were lucky that night, because there was a meteor shower and although I couldn't record any of it due to the ambient light from Depot Bay, Heather and I were able to experience it from the hot tub outside and it was a wonderful addition to an already perfect night.
