A Warm Welcome to Kupang West Timor, Indonesia
The island is divided between the sovereign states of East Timor (Timor-Leste) on the eastern part and Indonesia on the western part. Know that West Timor has a little better tourist infrastructure than Sumba but both islands have warm, welcoming people.

Visit West Timor, Indonesia: A Unique Traditional Welcome Ceremony in Lo'o Mota Village
The small village of Lo'o Mota gave us a wonderful and traditional welcome ceremony; once reserved for headhunters returning home victorious carrying heads of their enemy.
No heads today but they did kill a chicken in our honor (NOT in the video).

Dili, East Timor - Travel Around The World | Top best places to visit in Dili
Top best places to visit in Dili, East Timor
Dili lies on the northern coast of Timor Island, the easternmost of the Lesser Sunda Islands.
Dili is the largest city, chief port and commercial center of East Timor and also is the newest Asian capital.
Although there are not many tourist attractions in town but there are some interesting buildings like:
The Government Palace,
The Presidential Palace,
And the headquarter of the Ministry of Defense.
The most characteristic landmark is the Statue of Jesus that is constructed on a headland to the east of town.
The statue is about 27m tall and stands on a globe of earth and the view from across the bay is spectacular.
Of similar type but less famous is the Statue of John Paul II, located on the western side of the city.
Among the few places of worship, two are note worthy:
Motael Church
And An Nur Mosque.
East Timor is a developing country. It’s not cheap and there is much to be done.
Dili is a safe, charming, lazy little coastal city surrounded by wild nature.
And like in every other seaside city it has:
Several Nice Beaches;
Parks and Monuments;
A Small Port;
A Lighthouse;
A Promenade, a popular hangout for the young;
And the National Stadium.
In Dili you can find fresh fruits, vegetables and fish.
But most of all a lot of nice people!

What do you know about East Timor ( or Timor Leste as it is known over there)?
It is the newest country in the Southeast Asian bloc, gaining independence in 2002, and one of the least traveled country in Asia with only 60,000 travelers last year. To put that into perspective, Indonesia, its close neighbor had over 1.32 million arrivals last year.
Due to these facts, I decided to embark on a journey into this unknown land and traveled around the country for 10 days in July 2018. I got to see untouched nature unlike anything I have seen before, one of the smiliest people out there, and best of all, a country untouched by over-tourism. During my trip, I also saw poverty, unmaintained infrastructure, and a fire incident in the city. The trip was one hell of a rollercoaster ride that pushes me to the limit, to say the least. There is a long way to go for Timor Leste to become a prominent destination for travelers, but there is also an untapped potential that awaits those who seek real adventurers. If you are looking for a real adventure, you will surely find it here.
I hope you enjoy this video and I hope I was able to convey the beauty, and the life of the people in Timor Leste through this 3 minutes video.

Nusantara - Bali, Lombok and Flores
Indonesia is a massive country, so much so that I have created at least 3 travel videos about the country and I have yet to step foot on Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and a few thousands more. It’s amazing how I diverse the country is and how they are so unique from one another. There is so much to see in Indonesia and here is my attempt at showing another part of Indonesia I have not done before.
Today, I will take you to Bali, Lombok, Flores and explore the unique culture, breathtaking landscapes, the wonderful people of Nusa Tenggara.
Nusantara (means Archipelago in Bahasa), a collection of travel moments I captured during my 2 weeks trip through Bali, Lombok, and Flores. Bali and Lombok are pretty well-traveled but what blew me away was how beautiful Flores is. The number of wildlife you can encounter there is astounding.
What do you know about Flores? You may know about the Komodo Dragons and the islands they live on but there isn’t as many videos of Flores, the island where you actually have to go to see the Komodo Dragons.
For my trip, I had a chance to spend 10 days on Flores, starting from Labuan Bajo. I got on a boat and spent the first 2 days cruising around the Komodo National Park, visiting the Komodo Island, Rinca island, where you can actually see more Komodo dragons than the one it is named after, and Padar island, the best sunrise spot you can see.
During the live-aboard experience, all of us on the boat had a chance to bond, while exploring and learning about the Komodo dragons. In between, we went snorkeling and swam with Manta Ray, my first time ever, see them in its habitat. There are a ton of things to do around the Komodo National Park, especially if you are into diving and snorkeling.
After 2 days exploring the Komodo Islands, I flew inland into Ende, a town on the eastern part of Flores and traveled on land back west to see what Flores has to offer other than the Komodo Islands.
As it turned out, Flores is so much more than what it is known for. Throughout my 10 days in Flores, I went up to Kelimutu, a tri-colored volcanic lake in Moni, explored Bena traditional village in Bajawa and spent the rest of my time, riding a scooter around Ruteng and hung out with the enthusiastic locals of Flores.
So watch Nusantara, a travel video of my experience traveling around Bali, Lombok, and Flores, and enjoy the beautiful islands of Indonesia together!
I hope you enjoy the video and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask me in the comments below.

Indonesia Trip - Surabaya Heritage, Kepanjen Catholic Church - Indonesia Travel Destinations
Indonesia Trip - Surabaya Heritage, Kepanjen Catholic Church (Church of the Birth of Our Lady)
The Church of the Birth of Our Lady, also known as the Kepanjen Church, is a Roman Catholic church in Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. Completed in 1899, it is the oldest Roman Catholic church in Surabaya and among the oldest churches in Surabaya.
Construction of the present Church in Kepanjen was started when Pastor C.W.J. Wenneker bought a piece of land from the colonial government for 8,815 guilders in 1889 located to the north of the former church. A new church was required to replace the dilapidated older church and because of the growing congregation. Construction of the new Roman Catholic church was started on April 18, 1899 following the design of W. Westmaas. Construction was completed on August 5, 1900. It was consecrated as Onze Lieve Vrouw Geboorte Kerk in 1900 by the Archbishop of Batavia, Mgr Edmundus Luypen SJ.
The Church was designed by W. Westmaas, among his previous project was the reconstruction of the Blenduk Church in 1894. During its construction, the pile foundation had to be adjusted to reach the depth of 16 meter because of the relatively unstable ground, compared with the initial planning of 4 meter deep pile foundation. 799 pillars was needed to establish the foundation, the pillars were made of galam wood from Kalimantan. The red bricks were imported from Europe. The columns and the original furniture were made of teak.
The church suffered fire damage during the 1945 Battle of Surabaya. Some of the original bricks had to be replaced with new ones, resulting in uneven coloration.
