Taipei - City Video Guide
In recent decades, Taiwan has transformed itself into one of Asia's premier travel destinations.
It's easy to fall in love with this city. The aroma of street food fills the air. Scooters and bicycles rule the streets. And surrounded by nature, tranquility is never more than a bus ride or hike away.
Start your day at the Longshan Temple, the spiritual heart of Taipei. Taiwan's political heart is the district of Zhongshan, home to the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, 228 Peace Park and the National Taiwan Museum.
Hop on Taipei's excellent MRT and head to the National Palace Museum, home to the world's greatest collection of Chinese art and antiquities.
Taipei's streets are a treasure trove too. Enjoy the blooms at the flower markets. Hunt down bargains in giant department stores and cruise the restaurants in Yong Kang Street.
Rocket to the heavens aboard the high-speed elevators of Taipei 101 and enjoy the spectacular views from one of the world's tallest skyscrapers.
There are plenty of natural vantage points around the city too, such as Elephant Mountain, Maokong Mountain and Mount Qixing.
At sundown, head to the Shilin Night Market to feast, shop and simply enjoy this incredible city.

I took a tour around the Yiwu Industrial Trade City - the largest wholesale market in the world. People come here from every country to buy goods to export. 5.5 million square meters, 7km long, this market is beyond giant. And it's all one interconnected building. I explored it for a day with Collin Abroadcast, a fellow market fanatic. From Christmas decorations to children's toys to hardware and tools, we found a bunch of stuff that blew our minds.

SHANGHAI NIGHTLIFE : Where to go out?
There are so many bars and clubs to try out in Shanghai ... So here are my recommendations, 10 places to go crazy at night, have a drink, grab a beer, chat with your friends, or dance until morning!
WARNING : This description might be more useful than the video itself
I talk a lot about alcohol in this video, but of course I absolutely think you can have just as much fun without drinking, and if you choose to drink alcohol please do so in moderation. The party culture is strong, especially amongst exchange students, but don't make yourself sick! Drink responsibly.
Also, I didn't mention it in the video, but be careful about your drinks, moreso if you're a woman. In general, Chinese clubs' alcohol, especially if it's free, is very low quality and can make you ill easily, but even more, I personally had my drink spiked and I know other girls who got their drinks roofied at parties. As you would anywhere else in the world, don't accept free drinks that you haven't seen served in front of yourself, try to have alcohol from unopened bottles if you're at a table, and don't leave your glass unattended. This may seem really obvious and unnecessary to say, but I would feel bad for not insisting on it.
If you want to contribute to the subtitles, here you go : (thank you so much in advance !)

This Restaurant Lounge is One of Shanghai's Most Popular Destinations for Parties
Nothing wrong with having a little fun and some suckling pig confit.
Located in the prestigious Three on the Bund building, Unico has become one of Shanghai's local staples. Perfect for most occasions, Unico has created a Latin inspired atmosphere for a sophisticated crowd looking to experience a collision of tapas, cocktails, and soul that transport you to another world. Part restaurant, part lounge, Michelin-starred Argentine chef, Mauro Colagreco brings a new taste of latin culture to the scene. With a variety of theme nights, including Tuesday's “Salsa Night,” you can find a solid fun-seeking crowd almost every night of the week. If you're hungry, we like the crispy and suckling pig confit with creamy polenta and with resident mixologist Hektor Montoy at the bar you are in good hands with any selection. If you are a local, you already know...Unico is a must.

About CupofTJ:
Hi! I'm TJ Lee. In 2016 I sold everything and left my life in California to become a digital nomad - basically someone who is location independent. I started doing photography & videography gigs before moving into social media projects. The past few months have been the most challenging but rewarding experience.
Along this journey, I began documenting my travels on Youtube. My videos started to pick up and people started watching! I'm grateful today to have a community of kindhearted travelers and creative weirdos to share my work with.
This channel is always evolving just like my life. I have a new home base in Taipei, Taiwan after almost two years of living on the road. At the end of day, this channel about adding adventures - big or small - into your life and being 100% authentically true to yourself in the process.
Oh, and to eat good food whenever you can.
Welcome to this channel, I'm so glad to have you here!
