Grand Place is the most happening and popular place of Brussels, capital city of Belgium. The whole square is surrounded by some magnifiscent historical buildings which are
hard to take your eyes away. This huge square is also known as Grote market because initially it was used mainly as a marketplace for local merchants and sellers. The Grand Place was voted the most beautiful square in Europe in 2010 and it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998. This whole place is full of cafes & eateries serving different cuisines & drinks. just choose your's and enjoy some delicious platters. We were lucky enough to witness the celebration of Belgium's win in the football world cup match against Tunisia. The whole place was buzzing with music & cheer. Grand place is a must visit when you are in Brussels...Surely we will come back again. Enjoy.

EN// Brussels’ magnificent Grand Place is one of the world’s most unforgettable urban ensembles. Oddly hidden, the enclosed cobblestone square is only revealed as you enter on foot from one of six narrow side alleys: Rue des Harengs is the best first approach. The focal point is the spired 15th-century city hall, but each of the antique guildhalls (mostly 1697–1705) has a charm of its own. Most are unashamed exhibitionists, with fine baroque gables, gilded statues and elaborate guild symbols. Day or night, the brightness of this square is unforgettable!

Manneken Pis is a statue in the heart of Brussels, just off the Grand place - it's one of the top things to see in the city and is one of the more unique sites we've seen on our travels! There's plenty of stories behind Manneken Pis and how it came to be or why this little boy peeing has become such an icon in Belgium. We read a bunch of them online and share a few of our favourites in the vlog.
Manneken Pis is located a block or so away from the incredible Grand Place of Brussels. Also known as Grote Markt of Brussels this is one of the most interesting and beautiful city squares we've come across. We were fortunate to get a private tour of the city tower to get a view back down over the Grand Place from nearly 100 metres above ground - its a special walk up the stairs and a view we won't be forgetting anytime soon Belgium, or more so Brussels specifically from our experience, really is a magical place that has quickly left a mark on us and at this point we really don't want to leave.

24-HOURS IN BRUSSELS VLOG (WAFFLES, BEER, CHOCOLATE, GRAND PLACE!!) | 02-01-2019
On the 2nd of January, Robyn's brother dropped us off at Brussels airport so that Robyn and I could catch a train into Brussels Central Station. This will mark the beginning of our 24-hour adventure in Brussels before we catch the train to Amsterdam (where we will spend 2 nights!)
In this video, you'll join us as we walk from Central station directly into the Godiva chocolate shop! :-) Then you'll join us as we check-in to our room at Bedroom.
Afterwards, we will take you on an adventure where we will take you to experience the following;
- Mulled wine
- show you Winter Wonders
- Grand Place
- Cave Du Roy (and eat snails!)
- a place for beer degustation
- the Grand Place light show

- a comic museum
- a smurf store
We walked into tons of chocolate shops and walked the small cobblestones streets. We did all of this in exactly 24 hours ;)

En el día de hoy (21/07) se divulgó una presentación inédita en alta calidad de Lady Gaga interpretando Lush Life desde la Grand-Place de Bruselas, Bélgica. Este fue un multitudinario concierto realizado junto a Tony Bennett un 22 de septiembre del 2014, para promocionar su álbum Cheek to Cheek.
La particularidad de esta presentación es que al día siguiente se confirmaba que formaría parte de un documental promocional. El estreno estaba pautado para principios del 2015 y se lograría gracias a Barco Escape, gran empresa de tecnología que planeaba inaugurar una imponente pantalla de cine panorámica de 270 grados en las cuales se emitiría al público.
El contrato con Universal Music e Interscope Records estaba listo, pero las negociaciones privadas de Barco Escape con una compañía conocida internacionalmente no llegaron a buen puerto y por ello suspendió las operaciones de inmediato. De esta manera, el documental existe en su totalidad aunque fue cancelado.
En el veríamos performances de canciones como Anything Goes (disponible en VEVO), I Can't Give You Anything But Love, Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered, entre otras.
