I truly hope you enjoy the beauty. If you don't like the music, simply turn off the volume. This was recorded using a GoPro Hero4 mounted to the windshield.

Tesouro Havaiano: Palácio ‘Iolani (Bate Papa Aloha)
This show will be broadcast in Portuguese
Did you know that the United States has two royal places and that both palaces are located in the state of Hawaii? hulihe’e palace is in Kailua-Kona, on Big Island. Iolani Palace is located in the heart of the Capitol of Hawaii State, in downtown Hololulu, on Oahu island. ‘Iolani palace is a world treasure and is considered a multicultural, physical and spiritual epicenter of our state. To understand Hawaii and its many facets of Native Hawaiian identity, one must understand not only the history of this place but also what the legacy of Hawaiian kingdom dynasty started by king Kalakaua, which was drastically interrupted by the United States when it occupied the kingdom of Hawaii by force, while under the ruling of Queen Liliuokalani, King Kalakaua’s sister and successor. The host for this episode is Beatriz Cantelmo.

Hidden Treasure Mau Mai Beach on the Kohala Coast
Next to the popular Spencer Beach Park is a little path that leads to an amazing beach. Mau Mai has white sand, aqua blue water, great snorkeling and not too many people. Its a ten minute walk from Spencer Beach.
A 500 year old Palace's Bulldozed Remains, Kona Hawaii
Lonoikamakakahiki Residence and Paniau Heiau
This is a good example of the embarrassment of riches in West Hawai'i in terms of our archaeological heritage, and the disrespectful and wasteful way which we deal with these important resources.
Here at Lonoikamakakahiki Residence is a king's palace, 500 years old, and built by one of Hawai'i's greatest kings, King Umi. This site was later inhabited by at least two other important kings (Lonoikamakakahiki and Kalanio'pu'u) as well as Kamehameha the Great. In any other state this would be an archaeological treasure, a park or preserve, but certainly showcased and cared for. In this case, in Hawai'i, a very few remnant walls were grudgingly reprieved from the bulldozer's blade when the Kona Surf and Racquet Club was built by the Bishop Estate (Kamehameha Schools); the rest of this historical treasure was bulldozed into oblivion for all time. It is not even generally available for causal viewing, locked away behind the Kona Surf and Racquet Club's iron gates where only paying Club guests and pedestrian visitors can see it. Of course, there is no available (legal) parking nearby.

ISLAND OF INSPIRATION
The island of Hawaii is the youngest and largest island in the Hawaiian chain. Nearly twice as big as all of the other Hawaiian Islands combined (hence, its nickname, “Big Island”), its sheer size is awe-inspiring. You can travel through all but four of the world’s different climate zones there, ranging from Wet Tropical to Polar Tundra. From the snow-capped heights of Maunakea; from the lush valleys of the Hamakua Coast to the jet-black sands of Punaluu Beach, the island of Hawaii is an unrivaled expression of the power of nature. However you decide to experience the island, it is sure to leave you Inspired!
The sun-drenched Kohala Coast sees an annual average rainfall of only nine inches, so soak in the sun and relax on Mauna Lani’s two sandy beaches, explore the Puako Petroglyphs, indulge at local restaurants or recharge at the spa. You’ll discover cultural treasures on the Kohala Coast, too, such as the remarkable Puukohola Heiau National Historic Site, the largest restored heiau in Hawaii.
Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection is a luxury resort on the Big Island of Hawaii which is approximately 23 miles north of the Kona International Airport. It’s a 25-minute leisurely drive to the resort. Our concierge can assist you with your ground transportation.
#Hawaii Island, the largest of the Hawaiian Islands, spans 4,028 square miles and is the most southern spot in the United States. There is a rich history and culture on the island with plenty of adventure from the mountain tops to the deep blue sea.
Extensive fitness offerings are fun and approachable for all ages. Indoors and outdoor classes such as beach boot camp and stand-up paddleboard yoga are available to provide variety and challenge you.

Secret Mermaid Caves: The Best Kept Secret on Oahu
Kalanianaole Beach Park is the perfect family beach. It is just past Ko'olina on the West Side. Once you pass the exit for Ko'olina, it is the second stoplight. To access the caves you will need to walk to the South end of the beach (left end) and follow the path through the rocks about 300 yards. You will have to climb in and out through one of the large holes. This park also has a beautiful beach with clear blue water. Our parents love it because there is plenty to keep us busy so they can relax with their feet in the sand. We hope you like this video. Please click the like icon and subscribe.

Vacation destination in hawaii that people dream of visiting. There are pros and cons to living in hawaii on the big island but I haven’t found out the bad parts yet.
We look forward to making more cinematic GoPro footage to show off the Hawaiian islands and their beauty.
Hawaii is mostly known for its Napali coast and also Oahu with its Waikiki beach. Believe it or not there is paradise hidden on each island and it takes time and effort to find these hidden treasures.
There are tons of waterfalls all over the island you just have to get off the roads and on the dirt pathways to find these gems.
Thanks Todd Mellon for joining me on this excursion.
Aloha and mahalo.

Location of this waterfall and trail: in Hilo hawaii on the rainy side of the big island there is a road called Waianuenue that heads up past the hospital in town and eventually curves over a bridge with a distant view of the waterfall to the left. Park on the other side of the bridge on the left where there are not any “no parking” signs and you will see the start to the trail that will lead you along the right side of the river. This waterfall and area is dangerous during rain so be careful. Hawaii is beautiful but respect the power of nature????????????????
